    Pros +

    • Great location to visit the castles; very well kept and authentic family owned hotel; has a nice pool area and bikes to rent
    • The room was spacious and clean. I guess this hotel is great for senior guests who visit the restaurant.
    • Beautiful breakfast buffet, with an assortment of pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee, even an egg-cooker. Charming vegetable garden on the grounds, from which come many of the foods they serve in the restaurant. The pool is a gem. And the family that runs the hotel couldn't be nicer. A wonderful place to stay if you're visiting the Château de Chambord.

    Cons -

    • This hotel is 100% not suitable for small children. Check-in time 16:00 makes it impossible for a afternoon nap. The hotel is practically closed until 16:00 so also no option to have a drink in de afternoon. My 2 year old baby almost broke his nose then he climbed out of the antique baby bed and fell on his face. Not great.
    • Relatively expensive. The surrounding countryside is fairly bland but Beaugency up the road is very attractive.
    • the church bells which chimed once every half hour and full chime on the hour, all through the night.

Loved the location, the hotel, the pool, everything about this hotel. Shame it wasn’t me and my wife on our own as we certainly would have eaten in their lovely restaurant as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Welcoming staff, very nicely presented, comfortable and a good French breakfast.

Relatively expensive. The surrounding countryside is fairly bland but Beaugency up the road is very attractive.

The hotel is in a beautiful small village and felt very comfortable and peaceful. The pool and grounds of the hotel are gorgeous. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the hotel, which was fine dining. They accommodated the children who wanted a more basic meal. The breakfast selection was very high quality. Our family suite was large - 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, so more than enough space for our family of 4. There was a lovely cot set up in the main room for families who need it.

We thought the breakfast was included in the cost of the accommodation (this is what it says when you search the property online and one of the reasons I chose it). We were surprised to have this charged extra when we paid our bill. The overall cost to stay here was therefore more expensive than we had anticipated. Our room overlooked the road and as it was hot in mid summer, we wanted our windows open but the trucks and random traffic going through the village overnight made it a bit noisy.

Great restaurant, very quiet, heated pool as a big plus.Owns small garden for vegetables, plants used for the kithchen in Michelin guideVery clean! Would like to come back again .

I missed conditioner in the room.Breakfast could have been more rich, at least to offer hot dishes (eggs, bacon), though the rest was perfect ?

Very beautiful old mansion. Very well Refurbished. Excellent French restaurant. Food is served outside under a wonderful wooden roof. The pool is also very nice. Everything in perfect condition and very clean.

Chambre 14 was overheated. More than 26 degrees Celsius. Only two windows could be opened. No AC, no fan. It is an extraordinary room but not to be recommended for hot days.
