Brit Hotel Montargis

Don't let the name fool you, it's a motel. So, the main reason you get a room is to sleep. The bed was huge and comfortable. Just what was needed after a long drive with 2 children. Also the staff was very friendly

It looked very sketchy from the outside, and inside. High season and only 4 rooms were booked. Quite a hefty price for the rooms and breakfast. The breakfast was especially below standards. Got lucky that we were early at breakfast, otherwise we wouldn't have any croissants like the couples that came after us at breakfast.Also the noise coming from the old airconditioning systems in the rooms was not very nice to sleep with.

Quirky hotel with a personality. Themed around cars. Each room has its own name. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's also in a convenient location if you're looking for an overnight stop on the way somewhere else.

If you're looking for an evening meal go somewhere else. The food was like eating in a canteen. There were only 3 options for the starter, main and dessert. And there were no choices over the accompaniments. You just got whatever it came with. We ate there because we'd been travelling all day, it was cold and pouring with rain outside and we didn't feel like going out and looking for somewhere else.I see the hotel management has since responded apologising for cold food. The food WASN'T cold. The weather was.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, good beds, and value for money. Good place if you are traveling by car, only 5 min from Montargis' center. The hotel also has a museum of the N7, with room names and decorations from cities crossed by this road.Note that reception closes at 10, but you can still access through the night door.

Location was great for our trip, room was clean and comfortable.

No restaurant for evening meals on weekends sadly a theme on other hotels we stayed at across France & Spain. No lights in car park. No hooks in room to hang coats etc.

Receptionist was pleasant and gave good recommendation for eating out. The car park was safe and secure. The hotel was not busy and it was very quiet. The beds were comfortable with additional pillows if required.

Breakfast - Very poor, cold bacon and eggs which had sat there for at least an hour. Not enough pastries or bread (there were 8 adults in our group alone) for guests. Teapots but no lids??Bathroom - needs upgrading or a deep clean.Cleaners - were trying to get in our room to clean at 8.30! Checkout time was 10 or 11. We had to put do not disturb notices on our room to go to breakfast.

Very friendly guy at the reception. Nice hotel in the quiet area to get good sleep, nice decorations.

The restaurant was closed for dinner but we were given plenty of local recommendations. Breakfast was very good

The receptionist was truly lovely - kind and welcoming especially as we were very tired from a long trip and so was another helpful member of staff. Comfortable bed, quiet, good aircon and clean room. Nice atmosphere in common areas and location was pleasant - had a walk along country lane and hay fields. Very good value.

Position is excellent ,next to the main road out of Montargis. Parking is very easy..Hotel is nicely quirky and staff very helpful.

What lets the hotel down at the moment is the food. Dinner menu was limited and quite not good. If this could be improved hotel could be very good.

Great location and the staff are super friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Maybe would be nice to have somewhere comfortable to have a drink and work as well as a little thing to eat. But not required.

The rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The dinner menu offered, although with limited choice, was good, generous helpings and freshly cooked. The staff were very helpful and this hotel is amazing value for money.

The restaurant felt cold and looked like a canteen with a couple of vintage cars parked amongst the tables which were part of the hotel’s transport theme. A small niggle but, when you book for two people, you expect two towels to be left in the room, not just one.
