- Our tunnel crossing was delayed with the consequence that we didn't arrive at the hotel until about 10 p.m. having been unable to locate the hotel in the dark. The staff were very helpful in directing us to the hotel and very helpful in checking us in and getting us and 2 dogs settled.Understandably the kitchen had closed but breakfast in the morning more than made up for that.
- Lovely room clean and a good size for a familyFood was excellent in the restaurantView was very pretty and it was easy to find
Cons -
- nothing at all
- A couple of niggles; no plug in the wash hand basin and secondly there wasn't any milk for the coffee/tea in the room.
- Could have had air con in the bedroom

Food delicious. Good size bedroom. Nice communal areas
Room at the front door was noisy both air conditioning and reception guest noise .
A very fine auberge in a calm location. Great walks in the woods just adjacent you the property. Really enjoyed the stay. Dinner in the restaurant was a delight.
Staff are good , clean rooms and food is delicious..
Brilliant service heat room and fab restaurant. The waiter was very helpful aswell.
room was ok but sparse and worn furniture
dirty floors and staircases, visible water damage from the velum windows in the passages. ripped and unusable umbrellas on the patio. not particularly friendly or welcoming staff. restaurant was expensive for the very average food and service.
Huge contemporary rooms with all facilities including walk in shower massive bed and and electric mosquito blinds within a restored farmhouse building, in lovely rural location, and dog friendly!
Food here is usually excellent although on this visit not quite up to the usual standard
Modern rooms in a quiet hotel. Lovely location in the countryside. Delicious dinner on the terrace.
We woke up in the night because we were so hot! We had gone to sleep with the window open and the shutters closed - when we opened the shutters the cooler air came in and it was better. The choice at breakfast was a bit limited.
Travelling alone by motorbike and being delayed due to a technical issue, I had arrived in the dark at almost nine o'clock. I got a warm welcome and enjoyed a wonderful dinner as well as a good breakfast next morning. I was just passing through, but this is a place where one could stay longer ...
It felt like home , everything was clean, very good for families with kids
Dinner in the restaurant
A good Continental breakfast. Family run. The Relais du Silence lived up to its name to perfection! Beautiful views from the supper table; a rural atmosphere with swallows and saddle horses to watch during the meal. Bedroom and shower recently re-fitted and everything very clean. Taken all round it is "good value for money": we are planning to go back there!
We stayed for two nights. The menu at the restaurant was exactly the same for the second night as the first, with several items "off" the second night, and not replaced. This left comparatively little choice. The reasonably-priced menu might be better if it was less ambitious e.g. simple ices or sorbets for dessert would be better than the rather pretentious concoctions that were served as desserts.
Really welcoming and accommodated for our young daughter to perfection.
Not much choise. Serve also some meat , like jambon.
very comfortable and peaceful
The wasps and smelly drains .
