    Pros +

    • Unique Tiny House in the seclusion of the forest with spectacular view and truly special thoughtful design in an intentionally tiny space. Felt like living in a child's tree house dream.
    • Very nice and authentic chateau. Amazing surroundings.
    • Warm welcome. Host Philippine is very open and friendly. Room is spacious. Comfortable room temperature.Heating was on during chilly night in May. Gorgeous dining room. Well-maintained garden. Genuine experience of 15th century chateau. Very much like the people and the place.

    Cons -

    • The hot water was very unreliable.
    • Dated facilities. No restaurant. Moderate maintenance. Definitely not a five stars hotel.
    • A bit far from everything, which was good for us but not everyone's cup of tea. We liked bringing in breakfast and dinner, enjoyed them indoor in the salon and outdoors on the grounds.

Lovely historic nicely-furnished chateau with a heated pool, tennis court and outdoor tables. Family owned, very warm service. Beautiful countryside. We had a double Jacuzzi in our bathroom!

A bit far from everything, which was good for us but not everyone's cup of tea. We liked bringing in breakfast and dinner, enjoyed them indoor in the salon and outdoors on the grounds.

Breakfast in the chateau – charming.Stayed in the tiny house – as named, very compact. Low headroom on stairs; caution needed.Outdoor Norwegian bath with a view – excellent touch.Games hall – free ping pong, pool, foosball, Chinese chess board in the salon. Great swimming pool, one tennis court, LOTS of garden space for anything else incl. football etc. Enclosed woods – peaceful, with memorable deer sightings.Staff – discreet, caring, efficient.Unique, relaxing stay.

Shower – hard to regulate, swings from cold to boiling.

An absolutely magical stay at Château du Boulay Morin! The château is stunning, the grounds are peaceful and beautifully kept, and every detail is thoughtfully curated. Our host Nicolas was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. A perfect countryside escape — I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience in Normandy.

the esthetics, the quiet, the facilities - the look of the chateau, the room, the view of the grounds, walking around the grounds, the well-heated pool, and the possibility of sitting indoors or outdoors by the pool, access to the kitchen, outdoor picnic table

breakfast did not include option of oat or other vegetable milk.If I had known, I would have brought my own.

Absolutely beautiful chateau that we were made to feel like home in. Excellent amenities and lots of activities to enjoy. Bed was comfortable too.

Nothing, we would liked to have stayed longer

Stayed in the tiny house. Was super fun and amazing views. Very helpful staff and an incredible place to stay

Very impressive grounds with lots of space. Lots of entertainment in the grounds: tennis, pool, trampoline, boules.

    Parts are a bit tired.

Me and my friend spent one unforgettable day at this beautiful chateau, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The people who hosted us made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for — it felt like being at home. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and full of charm. Every detail was thoughtful, and we left feeling truly refreshed after a long drive. We were watching our movies in the living room and in the morning they made us breakfast, after what we had a walk in the forest and played tennis. Exactly what I needed after busy lifestyle.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, heartfelt escape.

What an amazing place, the grounds and woodland go on for ever, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great to. I really enjoyed the two friendly Husky dogs roming free greeting any new guests as they arrived ?

What is most important to me is a good night’s sleep. I slept like a baby as bed was so comfortable! The pool is kept very warm, even as I went in March!Great staff and delicious breakfast as an option.

More like staying at a friend’s house than staying in a hotel. We loved our 1 night stay at Chateau du Boulay Morin. We pretty much had the house to ourselves. Phillipe and Nicolas made us so very welcome we left far later than we had intended to. A memorable stop over on our travels to Spain.

    Struggled to find the entrance

    Scenic environment

Totally worn accommodation, light bulbs hanging out of the electrical wires. Broken grouting and tiles, rotten windows, not painted for decades. "Breakfast " starts at 9:00. Sad and depressing place, feels like a horror movie.

A fabulous place to stay with a fascinating history - a part of the Versailles story so such a privilege to be able to stay there. Great to have a kitchen to be able to prepare your own food in the evening (or they can organise food deliveries). Our room was comfortable and cosy and we also had use of the rest of the living space including sitting areas and we enjoyed playing billiards, it felt genuinely more like living in a chateau than being in a hotel. Easy to get there and we’d love to stay longer some time.

    8VladPosted on: 11-25-2024

Rooms are spacious as well as the area of Chateau.

The building needs renovation. There is no restaurant. Overpriced.

We loved the Chateau and the beautiful walled domain. Our two Samoyed dogs we made most welcome by the kind owners and the two husky dogs

    10AnnikaPosted on: 11-2-2024

Beautiful place. Even if it is a castle, the place is relaxed, even a bit quirky, easy to feel at home. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, everything works well and it was very silent at night. Very nice facilities to pass time, with games, pool and tennis court.
