Parkhotel Helmstedt

Breakfast was to included in the price......when I received the bill I was charged 15 euros per day. We did not have breakfast every day. The hotel did not advise us of a change in policy.

A beautiful hotel, staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. The bar area is very nice. I would recommend a visit

The breakfast was nice but a bit pricey for the amount of options.

We were greeted warmly by the receptionist and she spoke excellent English. The room was quite spacious and the beds were comfortale.

The bathroom was extremely small and it was difficult getting into the shower due to the way the doors opened & closed. The bedroom space should have been designed to be slightly smaller in order to give more room to the bathroom.Helmstedt is a lovely little town, however at 21:00 on a Saturday night, it was very difficult to find a restaurant that was still open for customers. When we did find a restaurant and had a meal, we found that it would only take cash, which we didn't have on us. That meant I had to spend 30 minutes finding a place to get the required cash, which pretty much spoilt the evening.

Close to the centre of town and staff were polite and extremely helpful. We had a little terrace and fridge and coffee machine.

Breakfast was really nice with a good selection of hot and cold food and the breakfast room is nice an spaceous. Very helpful staff on hand

The wifi was not working which meant I couldn't use my ipad as I'd planned

Free parking, large room, decent breakfast and friendly staff

Terrible bed, poor pillows, dirty windows, disgusting carpet in room, heavy cheap parfum smell in hallway and television did not work. Oh and the hot water ran out before the bath was filled.

Great location in a small town close to the A2 motorway, absolutely ideal for business trips. The hotel is equipped with a restaurant, the room was clean and relatively large, the furniture was undamaged, the possibility of free parking.

Nice area, far enough from the A2, so really quiet. Very friendly staff, amazing clean rooms, Nespresso machine in the room. Paid parking available. We had a very nice diner in the restaurant and breakfast was very good.

Would appreciate two comfy chairs in the room so that we both could sit and relax a bit. Not at all a deal breaker, but it would be nice.

Really nice welcome after parking right at the hotel. Beds comfy, rooms large and clean, and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was good and extensive, with more helpful staff, speaking English as well. Really nice place in a lovely small town. ? perfect.

Not much to dislike , its only fault is that it could be 100m closer to the centre. Lol ? it's lovely and quiet, friendly and comfortable. So , to me, it's faultless.

Small hickup with room equipment, but solved almost instantly

I turned up at 21.58 having booked online 15 minutes before. All went well. The restaurant and bar was obviously closed but I could take a beer with me to my room! I left at 08.00 the following morning without having breakfast as I was in a bit of a hurry so cant really comment much on the place but it left a good impression.

The room we were initially booked had an odious odour. I woke up to it in the night and was violently sick.

Great location, short 5 minute walk to town where there are several nice restaurants and a nice outdoor square.The staff were very friendly and welcoming.The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable after a long drive.

The light switch connected to the fan was broken. This was a problem at bed time as we wanted lights off but to keep the fan on. This was not possible so to resolve it we had to remove all the bulbs from the fan so we could have lights off but fan on. The restaurant and bar were both closed due to maintenance.

excellent reception, the staff knows exactly what you need after a long journey (quick check in, good sense of humor, and due to late arrival time (all bars and restaurants were closed already) - immediate offer of a beer from the bar, even though it was already formally closed). Absolutely exceeded our expectations :)
