Hotel Beaulieu Lyon Charbonnières

For sure, the hotel exceeded my expectations, taking into account the 7.7 rating on Booking. It was nice, clean and friendly with a great restaurant. Easy to get to the train to the Lyon centre.

Comfort room was too small, the windows face on the parking, the bed and pillows are not comfortable.

The hotel is interesting, stylish. With own vine cave, restaurant. In the nice city to stay for 1 night

A bit noisy if there’s a live music performance, but it ended around 10pm.

Good for One Night stay on the way to the cost and allowed to take dogs with in the room.

Very small, to hot and dirty carpet on the floor. the stuff was friendly but little chaotic service and they forgot to bring us our croissants at the breakfast. After 15 minutes and asking several times the ran out of croissants …

The perfect place to stay to visit Lyon, quiet without being dead but an easy train ride into the city. There is also a very good restaurant with a nice outside terrace and a cave to buy your wines.

Make sure that you reserve parking as the car park is small and very tight.

The staff were pleasant, helpful and professional. The choice of food in the restaurant at lunchtime and evening was good and it was well cooked and well presented. The hotel is well located for access to the city centre and to open fields for dog walking not far away. It's in the centre of Charbonnières-les-Bains, which is a delightful town with a train station, shops, boulangerie and restaurants.

The room was quite small and so was the double bed. It had no air-conditioning, just a fan so when the ambient temperature rose above 28° it was very uncomfortable. The choice of breakfast was limited to a continental one. We were not told that the restaurant would be closed on Sunday, fortunately there is a good Italian restaurant within easy walking distance that stays open.

It was clean and well organized. It was on 3 minutes walk to the nearest train station which was great.We had a great overall experience and would consider them when returning to Lyon. Ps: they provided us with some food on demand after hours free of charge. BIG thank you for that!

It was cold in the room during the night. Room was not clean, and toilet was smelly. Overall hygiene of hotel could be better.

Rooms were very dark even during the day light And very dusty Rooms need upgrating and carpets were not clean at all either

Service in the resturant was poor the htoel was good but when I checked out at 6 the checkout person was a little rude. I understand it was closed but I had to leave to go to work and hotel reception desk closed at 610am seems strange

Rooms do not look like on the pictures. the hotel is quite run down. We had asked for a baby crib and it wasn't provided. The rooms are quite small and dark.

Clean, quiet, nice en suite bathroom. Comfortable bed. Restaurant and café downstairs. Good breakfast. Close to the light rail station that takes you into Lyon in around twenty minutes.

Nothing. Be sure to book on site parking as there are only about five spaces.

Was a great little place to stay & the food was good at the restaurant & it had a great atmosphere.

Shower door didn’t close properly so bathroom got a bit wet.
