Pros +
- Everything was amazing ... Great hotel and staff. Restaurant was amazing.
- We had a seaview and balcony which had a great view of the water and peek view of the harbor. We enjoyed the jacuzzi after the long plane ride.
- The staff were super friendly and could not have been more helpful when my husband hurt his ankle. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we felt like we could switch off straight away.Great size bathroom and the private terrace was a great bonus.Facilities are wonderful, the pool is great but the private beach location is the icing on the cake. Easy walking distance to the city center.
Cons -
- They can't make a Bloody Mary
- Lack of fitness room
- The balcony had a lot of sap from the tree overhead, even though it was cleaned each day. It would've been better if there was an awning or a covering to protect the cushions/floor from sap. Because we used the pull-out couch, there wasn't ever a lot of room to sit (only the chairs at the table plus one chair). It also would've been nice if there were more options on the light snacking list (i.e., chips, nuts, other sandwiches, etc.).

Lack of fitness room
It is in a beautiful location, looking over the Bay to the Mountains and in walking distance to Ajaccia. The suite on the ground level overlooked the pool but had separated living and bedroom. The restaurant had excellent food and the staff were very helpful.
The view from the rooms and the hotel is fantastic and it was nice to be able to sit on the balcony and enjoy it. The room was spacious, with lots of storage, and there was a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and two bathrooms (only one with a shower). The beds were comfy, but the pull-out couch sagged a bit in the middle. The pool was not too busy and there were a lot of seating options (loungers, hammock, chairs, etc.). The staff was wonderful and very helpful if we needed anything. The breakfast was a little pricey, but the food was delicious. The hotel is very close to a beach that had good restaurants and swimming. The walk into town is only about 20-30 minutes and you can pre-arrange a ride to get there/back if needed.

Very nice location on sea front, heated pool, large terrace outside of small bedroom with seaview
Jacousi intermittenly not heating, staff not too helpful (might be cultural, French tend to be dismissive of non Francophones); fine dining restaurant somewhat average
Small boutique hotel, amongst the nicest in the city, retro frank Sinatra mid-century feel, spotless, well appointed, feels exclusive. Room finishes, from furniture to bedding, are all super lux. Had dinner at the patio restaurant. Good but not great for the money. The adjoining seaside cafe/bar is exceptional. Lovely pool. We will visit again.
Incredible view and amenities. The room was great, nice size and great bathroom. The food and drink were delicious. The staff was incredible. We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% stay again. Thank you Hotel Les Mouettes!
Location close to the beach and close to downtown . Restaurant was exceptional.
Room a little bit small but very clean an comfortable
The swimming pool and private beach
The price of the breakfast
Beautiful pool area, the terrazza is stunning and the access to a private beach was good.
Value for money is terrible. Every drink and meal is pricey, even water! Sometimes you just want want a sandwich or a coffee but there is no menu that caters for that. Breakfast is 29 euros a head even if you have a slice of toast… a gin and tonic is pushing 20 euros… it feels pretentious. I can just about get on board with the prices as long as the service is great but frankly, it wasn’t. I am English, I don’t speak French and maybe that was the bulk of it, but being made to feel like you are a hindrance is not acceptable if you are charging top dollar. Also, rooms are dated. Clean, but dated.
The location was amazing directly onto the beach and access to the sea. lovely views and position
The location was a surprise next to a busy road and petrol station. However for most of the time it was quiet. The walk in to the town was not so nice as there was a lot of traffic and there were road works to the pavements and so not easy.
lovely location, relaxing, beautiful
food portions so small and very expensive
clean friendly and an amazing restaurant
Very distinguished hotel, I would assume it to be a 5-star hotel from my expression. The food is excellent and I recommend both dinner and breakfast there.
A small detriment was that some employees did not speak English and seemed to ignore me for not speaking French.
Room was exceptional and hotel reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location even though it is about a 20 minute walk to town was good. View from our room was excellent.
The restaurant staff treated us with complete contempt - ignored us and took about 40 minutes to give us the menu even though we had asked for it twice. It arrived with out a wine list which took another 15 minutes to arrive. The restaurant was not full. This made the stay very negative. Finally when our meal arrived it was cold! The impression from the restaurant (which we visited twice) made a very bad impression on our stay. Other customers were treated with respect. Was it that we are not fluent in French?
Very nice location on the terrace
Our room was next to the terrace , you could hear people talking in the evening , and for breakfast etcUnfortunately our dinner on that terrace was that evening a disaster , starter arrived only by asking a few times the main courses were both unfortunately cold , we had to send it 2 times back . And we are talking about a high end restaurant . Spoilt our evening
Nothing went well - our entire stay was ruined
We were put in Room 5 which, unbeknown to us, is a very noisy room in that the dinner and breakfast service table runs along the outside wall of Room 5 which is in fact the same wall on which the bed is situated. So my wife and I were woken up shortly after 05.30 as the staff set up for breakfast setting down large numbers of plates, cups and saucers, glasses, utensils etc on the table outside our room. All the Hotel Staff are aware that the Room is very noisy but no-one told us of this at the time of booking or on check-in
Loved the view, loved the balcony with it's outdoor bed, chairs, and tables. I also loved all the storage - I love to unpack!
I can't think of anything I didn't like.
