Pros +
- A cut above camping, but not by much.
- Useful location to break up long hike between Brunissard and Ceillac on Gr5. Nice to have a room after many nights in Refuges in the mountains. Great bakery at road junction for breakfast.
- Great that it had an included restaurant as there was very little else available in town. Staff are very friendly and it has a nice atmosphere. Clean. Bed was comfortable and balcony was nice.
Cons -
- The owners couldn't get their pricing straight. (The customer is always wrong.) It was the only place open in that area during the off season.
- Staff not very friendly or helpful. Room rather dated and old fashioned. Bed very uncomfortable (like sleeping on a trampoline). The food was mediocre. It was a shame because we have stayed in so many excellent 2 star hotels in France but this wasn't one of them.
- Wifi did not work in room, bathroom was average (shower head broken and hot water very slow to work). Not many rooms available when we tried to change for better wifi and shower.

We were hiking the GR5, 2 couples and this hotel was a nice change from the Gites we had stayed at. The patio bar area was so nice to relax and have an afternoon beer. The breakfast was not till 8 so we instead went across the highway to a great bakery. Dinner was fabulous although a little more expensive, but again, it was nice change for us.
The location was quiet and pleasant in a small village. Breakfast was OK and the room was a good size. There was cycle parking in the garage which was reasonably secure.
The quality of the food varied some was good, some was less so. It also had a very confusing menu, I thought we were on a half pension deal but we ended up paying a fair bit more than I expected and it wasn't really worth it. The hotel itself is OK but a bit tired looking.
Fiendly staff, clean, great location, super atmosphere.
