Evening meal, not a lot of choice.
Fine location near the beach. Just the sound of the waves. Lovely gardens and pool. Staff so helpful.
All fine
The food was really good, waiting was slightly too long. Nice garden and pool.
The facilities are old, they do their best to maintain them.
Very good pool, good size clean superior room, good base if you are happy to travel to Sant Antaos mountains
Not a good location for access to Cova, Paul valley and north coast
The location and breakfast. Rooms are Ok
Needs renovation
Nice pool
Completely empty hotel, dark.rooms, lobby extremely dark, no WiFi in the room's, elevator permanently not working, spooky atmosphere.Everything looks old and worn down even as the hotel was opened only in 2008! But obviously nothing was invested since then.Employees are sleeping in the lobby, my booking was only found after minutes and I had to wait for the room even as I was obviously almost the only guest in the huge hotel.
The diving club within the Hotel was my main driver to be here. The big park and swimming pool facing the beach could be a good point.Friendly and helpful staff.
It's a little bit the only 'game in town' in Porto Novo, this Hotel has had better days... The rooms are old, basically equipped, not to current standards. Bed was comfortable though. Breakfast and meals are quite basic. Town center is a long walk away.
Allright Breakfast, The beautiful grasshoppers looking at you with big eyes in the stairway. The diving club is very good. The pool is clean
. The fact that after the bar closes you can not get water to drink.
Beautiful pool & gardens with easy acces to the beach.
The property is dated and requires maintenance.
Polite and friendly staff, decent room size, dinner buffet, cleanliness. Quiet at night.
Far away from the city center and the ferry terminal, wi-fi in in the room was almost non-existent. Breakfast buffet is pretty basic. The property needs some renovation.
The bed was very comfortable. The pool looked very inviting (but I did not try it). Ample parking space.
We encountered 4 issues:1: When we entered the room it was infested with mosquitos. We didn't count, but we estimate killing at least 30-40 before things calmed down. When complaining to the cleaning ladies, they showed us another room (with the window open), that was no better. They advised us to use bug-spray and then leave the room with the airconditioner on for a few hours. We decided not to do that, because we were not that eager to sleep in a poisened room, and also, we already killed all those mosquitos anyway.2: When entering the bathroom I suddenly noticed my hand was half black (very dark black). Note that I am Caucasian. There turned out to be some very dark wax on all the door posts. The cleaning lady said they did that on all door posts. So we had to be very careful to not brush with our clothing along the door posts. Very poor/bad decision of the hotel. I wonder who would pay in case my white shirt would be ruined by their wax.3: The listing says the rooms have a mini-bar (thus a tiny fridge where we could keep milk for our infant in), but there was no mini-bar and thus no fridge.4: Last but not least: The wifi is terrible. It mostly doesn't work in the rooms, or is very VERY slow.
Nice hotel in pleasant surroundings. Good pool area with loungers. Secure with room safe. Balcony with table and chairs. Nice restaurant with outside seating available.
Food was uninspiring. A lengthy walk into town.
I visited here last 12 years ago and the property is as well maintained as on my first visit. Certainly things have aged but you see the love of the caretaking.
Although one can buy bottled water at the bar, having a bottle in the room would be appreciated.
Nice hotel not far from the port and some restaurants with its own bar and restaurant
The sun beds round the pool weren’t so comfortable
Nicely situated just on the edge of town but within walking distance. Comfortable spacious room with a stunning view.
Wi-Fi wasn’t available everywhere just near the reception area. Sun beds could have been more comfortable
I expected better service. The service was far below the cost.
Staff did not appear friendly and were not helpful.

I am writing this review 21.2.2023, more than 1 month after the end of my trip to Cabo Verde, so I will not remember all details:I did not see a lot of guests. The staff was friendly regarding whatever questions I had. My room was quiet (as the whole hotel and area is) with a nice view and good comfi bed. Relatively close to the center allthough you will need a taxi or rental car if you are with suitcases. In fact one of the best things was the breakfeast! Versatile, delicous, and healthy options. If you go to Santo Antao you should have stayed here at least one night as it is the biggest hotel with good standard.
Slightly run down. There is a place from an Italian-German-CaboVerdian Woman and her daughter which is cheaper and in some aspects even better; even locals have advised it to me and in fact it is good. The woman preparing the breakfeast was unfriendly and ignoring. Suggest to change her with somebody social.
The space is quite beautiful and big.
Unfortunately, not all plugs worked in my room making it impossible to charge my phone at night, the balcony door wouldn't lock and I got no wifi in my room. All not too problematic but a bit annoying for a one night stay
