The food at the restaurant was good

The bed was hell

It a quite, solid hotel straight in the center of old town . Very comfortable in a good location. Extremly good breakfast. Hotel has large parking place for cars and bicycles. Super qualified stuf.

The location is exceptional. The food at the breakfast is perfect. The food at the dining restaurant great too.

There was damp in the room in the showers. The toilet smelled like drains. The carpet all around the hotel is horrible. The lift did not work one day. The doors took too long to open. The entire hotel was like a sauna initially and the air con had no effect. We booked an additional day for the stay before the stay and then we had to move as they could not pair the first day with the rest of the booking. Our friends that came later were added to one of the two rooms we had in the first day. That means they could have paired the first day with the rest of the days but they did not want to do it.

The location and the size of the room

The hotel is situated well, in the centre of Brandenburg. It is sometimes possible to park outside the hotel (time restrictions for free parking, basically only outside working hours). The hotel does have an underground car park but as a guest one cannot reserve a space and it is quite narrow and cramped (currently €12 / night).Breakfast was above average for a hotel chain and the waitress was particularly helpful and friendly.The rooms are average. The bed was comfortable but there was only space for a bedside table on one side.Be sure to ask for a room overlooking the quadrangle at the rear of the hotel. We did and so our stay was relatively quiet. A friend stayed the week before us and had a room overlooking the front of the hotel and it was very noisy - particularly because one has to have the window open when it is hot.

The room was very warm. A fridge is provided but no mini-bar (it took some time to discover how to turn the fridge on - a plug socket labelled "Fridge" did not have the desired effect - it was only by chance that I found the on/off button in the fridge).The water of the shower was not held at a constant temperature so one had to continually adjust the tap to prevent being scalded or cold shocked.Wifi is provided but the password is only displayed at the reception desk - I suppose this makes it easier if having to change the password frequently but it is not particularly convenient for guests. Normally one would find the password displayed in the information package in the room - such a package however does not exist.There is no service to the rooms unless one specifically asks for it - so no cleaning or bed making. The cosmetic products are available only on request. This is apparently for health and safety reasons but is obviously to save money.The charge for a double room with breakfast is more than €150 a night and so I would expect a little more comfort than that offered.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location was great. The breakfast was really good. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The presentation on Booking.com promised more than we got. For example extra large double bed…The bathroom was not up to today’s standards and the shower cubicle was mouldy.

Sparseness of bed and awkwardness of shower. No room refresh during 3 nights I was staying.o

The location is perfect for visiting the area, very central on a beautiful square. Very kind staff.

The hotel is a bit old, the furniture is worn and the style is not to my taste. a bit expensive for the value.

The room was just right for our needs. Facilities were good as were breakfasts and staff.

Our main issue was that the description led us to believe there is parking at the hotel but when we arrived we found that although there is hotel parking available there is an 11euro/day charge and this was not clear when booking. There was an issue with the room not being cleaned one day for which the hotel was very apologetic.

Breakfast and location were fine.

Bed was bad, matress worn out. Did not have a good rest.
