Auberge d'Anais

Lovely property about 7 minutes outside Vaison-La-Romaine, in the countryside, beside a vineyard. Very quiet place, peaceful. Outdoor patio is gorgeous, and the pool area is lovely, surrounded by olive trees. The dining area inside is very nice, with art and simple decor. Petit déjeuner was wonderful for 10euro. Our room on the lower level was very nice, private, bathroom was small with shower with a mix of old and contemporary farmhouse feel. Host responsive. Server at breakfast just charming. We did not spend any time on the property hanging out and it's off season. Overall a great location to explore Vaison, Le Crestet, Mont Ventoux and many of the other villages all within an hour's drive. Beautiful countryside and drives.

Poor wifi, almost non-existent

Nice setting in the countryside, we enjoyed views of Mont Ventoux, and vineyards. The breakfast room was comfortable and warm, favorite part if our stay. The staff was kind.

Restaurant was closed until April, not clear on the website. The hotel is quite a drive from town, isolated, and not an easy drive in the dark. It might be really relaxing in warm weather when the restaurant and pool are open.

The view and environment. The pool, The kindness of the personnel. Everything with the smile, even a lost key at 5.30 in the morning was not a problem.

Beautiful setting. Dinner Sunday night was very good. Wait staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms were a little small.

Quiet location in the country. Great dinners every evening. Room was very clean. Pool area looks really nice - shame we were there in the spring when the weather was too cool to enjoy it.

Room was a bit tight and dark. But bathroom area was ample.

Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Breakfast , normal what you get in France, but a great assortment of food.

The breakfast was good. It was served on an open terrace in the charming countryside.

There was NO reception, either checkin or departure. There is no wifi. There is no service at all. You arrive to a key in your door and nothing more.

Friendly service in a farm / vineyard environment. Lovely pool! Typical french breakfast in lovely setting.

Fruit with breakfast such as strawberries would have been a bonus.

We liked the location, with its quiet rural setting and beautiful views. We also appreciated the outside dining terrace, the swimming pool, the very nice indoor restaurant facility, and the plentiful safe parking space. Also, we liked the very good breakfasts, with smiling and efficient service.

One of the approaches from Entrechaux was via an extremely narrow old bridge, and should be avoided by anyone with a large car. On arrival, reception was not very welcoming. Pre-dinner drinks were not available even though the "bar was open". The dinner menu was simple but fine, albeit a bit limited if staying more than a couple of days.

No one to meet us personally on arrival but text message was sent advising us on our room number, no one available during the day for drinks etc although a fridge was available in the room

Location excellent. Room very small

We loved our stay the only thing to improve it would be the pillows, 1 very skinny pillow made for an uncomfortable sleep at least 2 are needed. But everything else was great.
