Pros +
- Beautiful old convent. Immaculate. Excellent restaurant with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
- Beautiful facility, very easy to locate. Easy parking and the pool area is great! Our room was very inviting and comfortable in a lovely old building.
- A very nice place with clean, comfortable rooms and a great restaurant.
Cons -
- Breakfast could use some improvements, with more local produce and options beyond just cakes and croissants. The coffee also wasn’t great, especially if you’re an espresso or cappuccino lover.
- It had a history though I wished to find out more about it.
- There are small improvements that they could easily make to make this stay go from very good to exceptional for example including a kettle and some herbal teas in the rum rather than just coffee. Not everyone drinks coffee! Serving breakfast in the main dining room would also be a much better experience. The breakfast room was a bit of a zoo as it simply not big enough to accommodate that many people. There was no room for us to sit and it felt a little mass market for the price we were paying.

It was clean, quiet and the restaurant was very good.

The hotel is a beautiful stone building in a very peaceful setting. The restoration of the old convent is perfect, updating while preserving the character. The rooms are spacious, with all the amenities such as nespresso machine, mini fridge, towel warmer (useful to dry swimsuits). The pool was lovely.. The breakfast offered a full selection from fresh strawberries and local jam to eggs and sausages, and cappucino. The owner is very welcoming and speaks good English.
Beautiful building and very comfortable room. They even upgraded us for free which was a lovely surprise.

Beautifully converted former convent with welcoming host, great breakfast, comfortable room with terrace and very accessible for disabled guests
We had an awesome week at L'hôtel du Couvent, staying in one of the Chambre Double Supérieure avec Terrasse rooms. The place is super calm, which was perfect for relaxing. The pool is amazing, and we really enjoyed chilling there. Restaurant: The food was delicious every time, breakfast was great too—lots of tasty options to start the day. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add some nuts to the breakfast spread. That would make it even better!I had to do some work while we were there, and the wifi was solid enough to get things done without any hassle. The room was always clean, and they regularly changed the towels, which was nice. The staff and owners were really friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed.
The only tiny thing I'd suggest is maybe speeding up the service in the restaurant. The food is fantastic, but the wait can be a bit long. But honestly, that's a minor issue, and it definitely doesn't take away from the 5-star rating I’m giving them. We loved our stay and would totally recommend it!
Beautiful place with comfortable rooms, airco and all the needed amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The owner Jean Paul was so friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and it has the most stunning swimming pool with a children’s shallow pool attached. We only stayed one night as we’re using it as a stopover. Dinner with delicious but no children’s menu and was a long dining experience so better to eat out if you have kids. Breakfast was fantastic, a good choice of hot and cold food.
No children’s food at dinner
Everything about this stay was amazing! The location, the architecture, the pool, the restaurant, the staff, the breakfast, the lunch at the pool area, the relaxing vibe... I could continue. This is a hidden gem, and I would def go back again. We actually extended our stay with 3 additional nights because it was that amazing.
The ambience, the restaurant, the pool and most of all the helpful staff
WiFi very slow
Very nice upscaling of a former convent, friendly staff, great swimming pool, and quiet location
Only à la carte menu in the restaurant, no daily suggestions
Everything about this place is simply exceptional! Staff, building, rooms, food, location. All are exemplaryThe price for the evening meal was rather high, but the quality is unquestionable, and dining outdoors in the courtyard was wonderful.
The setting - peaceful, tranquil - attention to detail. Delicious food in the restaurant at night.
I was upgraded to a lovely suite, very comfortable. Restaurant is also very good. Great location - easy to park. Will be back.
All was excellent
The hotel was charming, clean and the owners were so helpful and friendly!
Clean, great breakfast lovely pool area
Very welcoming staff who tried to accommodate our special requests, great design throughout, gowns and slippers, warm room, comfortable bed, great view.
Breakfast could be a bit more interesting if included some local foods (chestnut-based?) and nespresso coffee
Very quite and peaceful place to stay. Restaurant was very good also. Good sleep and good food!
Difficult to find out.
Friendly staff, nice room, excellent swimming pool, spacious park, perfect for our dog
Disappointing restaurant
