Pros +
- Handy to our next stay in Saignon.
- Hotel itself was very attractive. Grounds were spacious. There was an out door pool. Terrace cafe was lovely. Room was nice and comfortable.
- The bed was comfortable. The sorroundings are nice.
Cons -
- Lights in corridor weren’t working. No apologies. Restaurant not available on a Saturday night. No assistance for recommendations in the town. Very little attempts at welcoming and friendliness. We are regular visitors to France and this experience was unusual and disappointing.
- It was a dirty and smelly room. Paying 140 euros for that room is totally a scam. The bathroom has a major issue with the shower which doesn’t have a curtain. When you shower the water covers the floor. I believe the smell issues come from this problem as the water must have been filtered beneath the floor of the bathroom, the room. If other rooms have this problem, this is a disaster! Moreover, the room and the bathroom were not clean. We arrived at 9PM. We knew it was too late to have dinner, and because there was nothing to eat around, we ate some snacks in the room. Once we finished, we made tea (there was a kettle) and decided to go outside so we didn’t have to handle the terrible smell and get some fresh air. The host didn’t like this idea and once we were there for 5 minutes he switched off the lights of the garden, leaving us almost in the dark (it was 10 PM). In conclusion, we don’t recommend to waste your time and money staying in this place.
- Very poor food in restaurant in evening. Staff ok
