- We've stayed here before and always had a lovely stop over, but it wasn't as great this time round.
- Very friendly, family run hotel. Easy check in, food excellent and very quiet and spacious room. Highly recommend.
- Location good; friendly staff
Cons -
- Dinner was Luke warm, breakfast was fine. Everything was just ok, nothing special, nothing disastrous. Staff were not very friendly but neither were they rude. For an overnight stop over, I would say it was over priced.
- Small bed; decor needs updating; Disappointing meal - vegetables and meat overcooked.
- The rest of the younger staff were less friendly

The lady manager was very friendly and attentive with a good sense of humour
The rest of the younger staff were less friendly
The location is excellent and I am sure the restaurant is very good indeed but we didn't have time to eat. We arrived and went to our room. Although the room was not very large, that was not an issue. It smelt musty and looked a little tired but it was very clean as was the bathroom (albeit a small shower room). We will definitely stay again and would recommend.
There was only a small fan in the room on a very warm evening and the room smelt a little musty upon arriving until we opened the windows and aired it.
excellent restaurant and bar on a patio with views over the countryside
The room was tiny and not very comfortable
Nice pool & staff
Not so clean and the window was broken
Old fashioned hotel in the countryside but a short distance from the motorway. A return visit after 30 years when we used to stop overnight on our journey back to the UK from our home in Italy. Not a lot has changed, the warm friendliness is the same, though some of the facilities have been updated.Good simple French cuisine
The location, the staff and the food
great dinner from the terrace, even a deer showed up!
Friendly reception, possibility to have dinner, quiet, nature. lots of guests with old-timer cars.
Address difficult to find; the first road suggested was not open to traffic, so we had to re-route about 5km.
Firstly, let me say without question that the staff were very hospitable and friendly and went out of their way to help.Furthermore, the setting is superb and there is plenty of parking, so on paper this hotel ticked all our required boxes. We did not use the spa facilities so cannot comment.However...
...the following comments are designed to be constructive and not detrimental to any of the above. It has been mentioned before that there is a "drainy" smell about the place - it's still there, and someone had been smoking in our room recently. The bedroom(s), and we saw three, seem to hail from the seventies regarding decor; there was no facility for making a hot drink in the room - a communal kettle in the lobby just doesn't cut it these days! On the first of three nights there was no hot water and I must have run off gallons finding that out - so wasteful. No central heating either and it was 2C outside. OK, an electric oil-filled radiator had been provided but that didn't really help. Finally, when we did get some hot water, the plugs in both the bath and basin were so ill-fitting that they let the water out quite quickly.Next, sorry to go on but, for the money breakfast was quite unimaginative and meagre especially on the Monday. Also, a little light music in the dining room would help to lift the rather sombre mood of one's fellow diners.
Clean rooms, very nice staff, good kitchen. It is located out of the city in a nice, small forest. Good to have a rest here!
The food in the restaurant is excellent and restaurant staff were good. The restaurant was one of the few areas of this hotel which did not stink of swerage.
Our room stank of sewerage, the smell was nauseating. We mentioned this and were given an air freshener which did not do anything. However, our odd complaint did not seem to come as a surprise at all to the owner. Were told it was a newly fitted bathroom..........can only imagine it is a general drain issue but you could smell it in other areas of the hotel. The whole hotel needs some renovation as it is outdated and a bit sad.
The evening set menu was reasonably priced and had the flexibility to substitute courses from the a la carte menu. The evening meals were served in a dedicated room which was subtly lit and comfortable. There is a good choice of local wine by the glass or carafe as well as a comprehensive wine list. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room with a side room where the buffet is laid out. Plenty of choice, breads, cereal, yogurts, fruit, ham and cheese. Coffee, tea or chocolate is brought to your table.
Lovely location. Big room (paid for superior room) and good bathroom. Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere
Dates from 1960’s? Doing renovations so “spa” was tricky to get to and all a bit cluttered and bananas. Food ok but not great and it was a bit like eating in a care home with bright lights and school tables.
My room was spacious and well appointed. A wonderful place to stay close to Strasbourg and the surrounding area. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent.
I have no dislikes
The staff was always very friendly and helpful. You have to eat at the restaurant, the food is delicious and at an affordable price.I had my dog with me which was no problem and I felt very welcomed with my dog.The spa was small but very lovely and perfect to relax after a long hike.
Lovely Hotel in a gorgeous part of France! Off the beaten track. The staff were fantastic and were so helpful. It is a place we would definitely return too. We loved it.
nice breakfast if a bit overcrowded, big rooms, apartment was up a set of stairs (there are downstairs ones also), very clean, big bathroom, plenty of towels, bedding, overall very nice experience
no aircon in the apartment but there were fans
