Pros +
- Breakfast was good for the price we paid for our stay
- Very friendly staff, great restaurant, very comfortable bed and pillows. We love every minute of our stay there! ?
- Clean, bathroom renovated and delicious breakfast! Overall good value.
Cons -
- Breakfast area was a bit cramped and we waited quite some time to check out due to there being only one member of staff on to do breakfast and check outs.
- Room was too warm to sleep in, we have arrived in a hot day and an Air co would have helped a lot, bathroom also didn’t have proper ventilation, thus the room in attic was too hot for us to sleep in. We have turned on the little portable air cooler, but unfortunately was not enough.
- The location is closed to a ghost town, there is absolutely nothing around

Hotel tres correctpropreconfortable
The hotel is situated in a quaint little town giving it a very romanticized factor which would appeal to some. Breakfast was okay for a place which prides on their gastronomy but I am sure that it dose not speak to the quality of their restaurant which I hope is superior.
As it is a historical building, the windy staircase, creaking floors and the smell of old wet wood hits you at first. I believe the intention of the hotel was to mix old and new which I feel was achieved in room's bathroom but the hotel fell short in other aspects such as the room's layout and the room's paper thin door which allowed you to hear the neighbours.
Dinner was great. Lost my toiletbag in the bathroom, they sent it to my home address.
Expensive cost of sending the toiletbag.
The decor, old style and restaurant.
Sometimes water temperature of shower went cold.
The town is very quaint and the Hotel meets the expectations. The bed was not that comfortable but the breakfast was good.
Characterful, vintage decoration. In the rooms the beds are very comfortable and there are black out shutters so we slept very well. The restaurant is delightful with superb food. The owner was a winner on the French version of MasterChef and her cooking is really special. We really enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu. Friendly, helpful staff.
Nothing. Can’t wait to return!
the nostalgic feeling it gave me - feeling like sleeping at my gran-ma place.
The list can be long! but basically, we were not told that when we checked in, there were some works in the hotel, which cut all water supplies. Impossible to use the toilets, shower, nothing! what a bummer when you need to dress up for a wedding! in addition, the day after at 9am, the works started again, making tons of noise! instead of being apologetic, the staff kept telling it wasn't their fault and they couldn't do anything...yes you could have informed us and at least felt sorry for the inconveniences...Staff wasn't very pleasant, and they refuse to check you in before 3pm - because there is nobody in the reception...how convenient...we have been told many times that checkin was only at 3pm, and when we showed up at 1430 (after a 7 hours drive..) being reminded that check in is only at 3pm several times was not necessary.they more focused on the fact that we made them work 15 more minutes than informing us of the inconveniences they were facing.
Great location and the parts that have been renovated are done nicely
The main issues were:- there was no water in Arnay when we arrived so we went to our rooms and discovered for ourselves… no extra water in the room just a few small ones. the hotel should explain this kind of thing and offer big bottles of water.- construction in the hall and room next to us. we had to walk though tarped up stairs, the landing full of toolboxes and a 4x1 metre piece of MDF we had to move as it was leaned against our door… construction started at 9am and woke us up next day- once the water came back the flush didn’t work in our toilet, and we only had a cold shower- I tried to explain kindly and calmly that these aspects of our visit were simply not acceptable but at no point did reception try to excuse themselves or offer solutions, instead becoming quickly defensive, not offering any resolution or apology and explaining that they are in renovation so it’s like that for all guests… terrible notion of hospitality frankly
Comfortable room with really good bed and high class bedding. A proper old fashioned French hotel with lots of character. Pleasant and helpful staff. We come for the food and dinner did not disappoint! Very good breakfast too.
The bathroom was a bit tired, really needs refurbishment. And parking is a bit tricky, reversing into a busy through road was hard. But these are minor problems, we love this hotel!
good food . Easy pleasant walk up to old town centre
I do not like parking my loaded car on the street overnight for security reasons
Breakfast slightly disappointing, no milk for cereal, no butter. Evening meal excellent. Will recommend.
The breakfast
Friendly personal.
Hotel needs a complete renovation. Fittings and furniture are all old, and rather shabby. Bathroom equipment is from another epoch. Doors are paper-thin and ill-fitting. As often in France, the prices for the rooms are far too high for the quality of the hotel.
The Restaurant was very good and the service in the hotel was good,we enjoyed our staying
