Hôtel Restaurant La Couronne

Our room was perfect for our overnight stay en route from Calais to Austria. Although the restaurant wasn’t opened the night of our stay, we did have a lovely breakfast to set us on our way the next day. The hosts went out of their way to help us when we realised that we’d left something behind. They arranged to have it posted on to us and communicated with us effectively. We really appreciate finding this place.

Staff was nice. So were the rooms. However , we expected to have dinner at the hotel.

No dinner. We had to go to a restaurant across the street, which was outstanding! Breakfast at Hotel Restauranr La Couronne was extra.

clean, well set up room. Not a huge space but well designed. A safe place for our bikes. Good breakfast.

Towels clean but very dingy. Could use replacement. The window only opened a small amount and it was hot and stuffy all night making sleep a challenge. There was a screen on the window so pity we couldn’t open the window wide.

I was "welcomed" by totally drunk middle age man, who was laughed and sweared at me, because I can not speak French. For me its a shocking experience. I can not recommend this hotel at all especially to those who do not speak French.

the access door to the room needs a breaking mechanism. it tends to slam and causes unnecessary noise.

Clean functional hotel with good sized breakfast

I have stayed at the Hotel many times. The location is very convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and the restaurant offers plenty of choice of local specialities

Wifi was not working well at all and phone reception in the area was awful.

A charming hostess, who made us feel most welcome. Lovely big bedroom with well-equipped ensuite and excellent shower. Dinner was delicious and the breakfast was first class. The location was ideal for travelling, being so close to the motorway, but in an attractive village. The accommodation is in an annexe behind the main building, so no traffic noise. No air conditioning, but a small fan provided which helped a bit.

Unfortunately we arrived on a day hot as Hell. The lack of A/C made the stay in the room very uncomfortable. It is not the owner's fault, but for the future, at least a mobile A/C unit would be a very welcome addition

Friendly staff. The check-in was uncomplicated. Access to the rooms was quite easy. Nice to have a secluded parking lot near the entrance. Room was clean and very cat-friendly.

Everything was nice.

It is a good location for those who travel (not too far from the highway), the rooms are nice and clean + there is a large parking.

At night, the hotel completely switched the heating off, so around 3am the room was very cold, even with an extra blanket I was shivering with cold. We had a four month old baby whose hands were super cold :-( I would not stay in this hotel again during winter. I also did not like that the hotel offers (already in its name) room service for food but when we arrived (6:30pm), no food was on offer. It seemed quite misleading.
