Hôtel Restaurant Le Freudeneck

Very warm welcome, very cosy, excellent food, it was like staying at home.It was really nice to get very good advise to travel around in the region !

Lovely hotel on the edge of a forest. It is easy to find but don’t trust your satnav, ours took us down a very narrow forest road. The owners are lovely and, Christina (sorry if I’ve spelt it wrong) and her husband are exceptional hosts. We arrived approximately 15 minutes before the restaurant closed and we were offered a fantastic cheese and meat platter to take to our room, along with a fabulous blueberry tart for dessert. Our room was huge and had a mezzanine floor and a balcony. The rooms are very quiet, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality and the wonderful dinner (especially the blueberry tart)

It is a small and cozy hotel in a very beautiful place surrounded by forest. The location is perfect for people who want to escape from big city for a weekend. And also it’s near charming Strasbourg. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Also I would highly recommend to try a dinner in their family restaurant. There is absolutely no need to look for any other restaurants around. Thank you for great holidays we spent in your house.

The location is wonderful . Host is super gentile and ready to help in any way . View from the apartment was magical in the morning .

We loved the hotel and where it was located . The owner who hosted us the whole time guided us on where to go , and extremely kind . The rooms are very comfortable and warm. We stayed here to see Strasbourg

Beautiful location, delicious food, cleanliness

We understand that just one person attending to many customers at the same time is hard, but she should not pass that stress to the guests.

Very comfortable and peaceful in the middle of forest yet having all the modern facilities with wooden esthetic touch all over the hotel.

Beautiful forest setting with trails from the door, spacious comfortable room with nice balcony, great value. The dinner was exceptional - highly recommend eating in, and the staff were kind and friendly too. Thanks so much for a lovely night.

Absolutely loved the stay , the food and service was fantastic, when we come back to the Alsace region we will be staying at Le Freudeneck

Very quaint the hotel was gorgeous, lovely staff, friendly and helpful, room looked amazing and location was quiet and perfect. Free parking right outside the door.

The mattress was uncomfortable and only 1 small pillow each. Unfortunately reception closed at 8pm so unable to get more pillows.

The location, the staff, the room. Clean, comfortable. The restaurant food was amazing. The garden room we were meant to stop in was changed due to very heavy rain. We would get very wet going to the room and going into the hotel.. So they put us in another room in the hotel for the same price. Nothing was too much for them to help.

The bathroom bath shower. The shower head didn't have a wall mount holder. The hose and shower head lays on the bath taps. A simple holder in the wall would be good. This is a personal thing. I don't like holding a shower in one hand while putting shampoo on my hair or shower gel on my body. Odd times where water gets out of shower curtain or screen and gets everywhere. It's not a big concern. If in the area again. Would stop again. Great place.

very good location, cozy and with great hospitality! We've been there for Christmas holidays and ordered also Christmas menu. it was super good. Christina made our rest unforgettable with warm welcoming and attention to guests

Very mediocre room and extremely basic bathroom, toiletseat not fixed, however dinner was Ok and breakfast above average

The room was not up to 2star standard. a disappointing experience]

Breakfast was very tasty, especially the croissants. Excellent location of the hotel in a quiet place near the forest. It was a great opportunity to take a walk in the fresh air.Friendly staff. There is enough space outside for the free parking.

Variations in hot water pressure.

Quiet location, in the middle of nature. Nice lighting details in the room, which was very comfortable. Good wifi. Good value overall.

There was sewage smell until late night, but thankfully disappeared after a while. Breakfast is not homemade stuff everyone mentions but staff was very nice and helpful, served drinks to table, and the view from restaurant was amazing.
