A little dated

Breakfast was very good, although my grandsons didn't understand about the boiled egg machine!

When I made my second booking, I had to add another room, I did explain that one of my fellow travellers was totally blind therefore the fact that they had a ground floor room was good. However when we arrived this room was not available. I understand totally that other people needed it for similar reasons to us, but I felt they could have dropped us a line and let us know.Otherwise our suite room was excellent and we had an enjoyable stay.

Although the breakfast is usually served from 8.00 the service managed to prepare something much earlier (due to my early departure). Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. The place itself is charming, seems like a family owned with long tradition. It is clear that the owners care a lot about the place and cleanliness. I enjoyed much my stay there.

Wonderful location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and amazing service. Located in the small village of Birkenwald the hotel offers a special view on the woods surrounding the hamlet. The environment is peaceful and quiet. We loved it!

Super location. Comfortable accommodation. Good busy restaurant and breakfast was plentiful. Parking was as requested safe and off road. Excellent value.

Overall no real complaints but we were left feeling that the staff had much more interesting things to do rather than attending to our initial booking in or food service!

This is a nice countryside hotel with the proprietaries residing on the premises. The restaurant was full for lunch on Sunday and the owners made sure that breakfast was served in the morning.

the room was clean. the hotel was in the middle of the nature which was nice!the spa was really good, it seems it was just renovated and it was relaxing after the day hiking.

the Wi-Fi was not really working and there was no cellular signal.the room was relatively small.

I was only expecting an hotel in a village with a restaurant attached. Hotel Restaurant des Vosges was that and more. A large restaurant which was packed on the Friday night we stayed. People obviously come from far and wide for the truly exceptional food..

Very basic rooms. Somewhat small it must be said but acceptable for a one night stay. A bit noisy in that you could hear the person above taking a bath.

We were so comfy there. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Enjoyed watching the herd of deer grazing close by. Perfect hosts.

This was our second visit to this hotel. In short we were fed and watered to a very high standard. This is a great stopover for travellers going north or south being only 15 minutes off the autoroute in a pretty village.highly recommended.
