All too soon the weekend was over and it was time to move on. But I certainly have added the 'Au Chasseur' to my list of very nice places in the Vosges - well worth coming back here on one of the future occasions.

- On the arrival day the last 300m of one of the access roads to Birkenwald was closed. Ok, very little to do with the 'Au Chasseur', but what if there wasn't anything other than that which I didn't like about my weekend in that area of the Vosges? ;-)
- Nothing - this was our 4th stay.
- Breakfast isn’t included within the price and at €18 a head for continental is a little pricey.

The swimming pool and spa area are very nice and a welcome break on a driving trip. It is in a very peaceful little hamlet in Alsace. The dinner was exceptionally good and very good value for money.
