Relais Lorraine Alsace Pere & Fils

We stayed overnight on our way from UK to Livigno. The hotel is a little dated in terms of its rooms but we had a family room that was quiet and the beds reasonably comfortable. The staff were very helpful, spoke English and made us feel very welcome. We ate in the restaurant where the food was superb. Excellent selection and reasonably priced. We would stay again.

The food and staff were excellent.

Very cosy hotel. And the staff is super friendly, helpful and smiling. We were in a triple room, it was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the heat was strong and warmed up the room quickly. The hotel restaurant recommended us typical local dishes which were very tasty. The desserts were also very good. We are very satisfied and highly recommend this hotel. We would love to visit it again.

I need a bedroom with total darkness to sleep and the light from outside did keep the room illuminated

The staff were very friendly and the dinner was excellent. The hotel is well-situated and the room is spacious and well insulated from noise.

The whole experience was fantastic, but a special mention for the excellent staff. Easy to park, check in was top and the restaurant attached is fantastic too. Everybody we met was kind and helpful. Would definitely return if in the area. Well done all!

I was driving from Italy to London and it was ideally situated for an overnight stopover. It was extremely comfortable, warm (a wet and frosty December night) and appreciated the kettle. Dinner was delicious and the staff were very welcoming, friendly to both me and the dog.

I was fortunate in finding a parking, but I can imagine that at busy times of day it could be a challenge

Great location. Easy to find. Parking behind hotel was free and convenient. Room was superb - very spacious. Restaurant in the hotel was full when we arrived and seemed very popular with the locals. Sadly, we'd already eaten and could not fit any more food in. Perhaps next time.

Easy to find. Fabulous staff. Very large rooms, clean, quiet and well appointed. The restaurant serves excellent food and is very popular with the locals.

The hotel has no dedicated parking. Narrow staircase.

One waitress in particular, was most unhelpful, we understood most items on the menu, which was only in French. She deliberately refused to make any attempt to help.

We should have been notifoed that the hotel was unstaffed on Mondays, including the restaurant

No one to let us in on arrival - Monday - and no notification that we would need a door code to access reception where our room key was waiting for us. Sheer luck that someone else who knew the code appeared to let us in.

Pleasant enough, but not the best

Some confusion about paying. Staff seemed to think they could add the cost of the evening meal to the bill - it turned out thgat the could not. As we left before breakfast we did not see anyone. They then tried to chase payment rather than just asking, including adding the cost of breakfast which we did not have. All a simple enough mistake, but not quite what we wanted or expected

Very good but the choice meat products was very limited.

We had to wait about 15 mins before anyone arrived to check us in. Similarly when checking out we had to wonder around the hotel to find a member of staff. The evening meal was OK (Cost about 29 Eur) but was devoid of any fresh vegetables. Only included a potato rosti & black & black bulgur wheat? Not everyone's favourites!

Location very central. Quite quiet.

There were no staff and no instructions how to get in.
