    Pros +

    • This is an amazing place to stay and our second visit. The dinner was excellent and we slept like babies during our stay. It's one of the finest experiences we have while traveling. Catherine is a wonderful hostess. We will definitely be back.
    • Breakfast was great. Dinner was interesting and the luxury room was outstanding.
    • Oh my, where do I start?! This place was both dreamy and homely. Privately owned and ran by a family, it was everything we wanted it to be. The staff were so kind and immediately ensured we had a very hospitable stay and were lacking nothing. The room size was true to old mansions/chateaus: huge! The bathroom was incredibly spacious, too, as well as remodeled. I felt we had the perfect blend of historic charm and modern utilities. It was incredibly quiet throughout the day and night, being they are situated on many acres. We were able to roam the grounds to our hearts' content, and it made for a beautiful, early evening walk. The restaurant dinner and the breakfast absolutely impressed us. Compliments to the chef and hosts! They were the quintessentially French meal experiences I'd been wanting during our trip. I would stay here again, 1,000%. Even if just considering the price alone, nothing else could beat this experience. Thank you, everyone, for a wonderful and memorable stay!

    Cons -

    • Bathroom - very roomy but the bathtub without shower curtain is a challenge. Walk-in showers would definitely improve the experience - especially for less athletic people...
    • Nothing :)
    • the cleaning lady was opening the door without nocking in the morning multiple times before check out time, which was very disturbing especially when I had a dog in the room

Beautiful setting. The room was very nice and comfortable bed. Was a bit chilly and lady at front desk gave us her heater for our room! The grounds were beautiful. Loved the history of chateau and photos of the history during WW1.

Stayed many times before, fantastic location, beautiful chateau, park and gardens. Very large room with park view and wonderful restaurant.

Lift not working. Room service not available during the day, only evening. Breakfast on weekdays ends rather early.

This lovely chateau is set in beautiful grounds just outside Verdun, so ideally located to visit the battlefields. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the meals excellent. The cheese board was presented on a large trolley!

Impressive building. Beautiful location next to the river Meuse.

    No air conditioning.

    9RobertPosted on: 6-4-2024

Charming chateau in beautiful park with river running through it. Traditional style, privately owned and run, dog friendly. Simple but good breakfast. Small but very good dinner menu.

    10GillPosted on: 6-2-2024

The welcome, the character of the outside and inside and our evening meal were all top class. The breakfast was also good.

I enjoyed a soak in the tub but my husband who is tall missed having a shower. He tried with the handheld shower carefully but it did get the floor wet which was quite slippery then.

    10AlisonPosted on: 5-16-2024

The room was comfortable and large, bed very comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Dinner was excellent with attentive service, food delicious. A good choice for breakfast. All staff helpful and friendly. The chateau was spectacular.

Very nice building. Nice large territory, full of trees. River nearby. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Great restaurant inside. Very friendly personnel. Clean rooms. Spacious rooms. Even if you take the smallest and cheapest. Enough for two people. Nice spa. Was almost private. Super strong hamam.

Beautiful building in a large park, very quiet atmosphere, great restaurant and very friendly, helpful people. Pricing is not cheap, but very reasonable compared to the quality.
