- The hotel is very dog friendly which is perfect for us. Our room was spacious ans spotlessly clean. We had the set menu for dinner which was excellent value.
- A welcoming small hotel, with an outside terrace and a convivial restaurant inside - which produced an excellent supper and a good breakfast.Quiet location on a small square, with a pleasant walk by the canal and river. Easy parking close by.For our needs - an overnight stop - this ticked all the boxes and we’d happily stay there again.
Cons -
- The nearby French airforce base at St Dizier flies round the clock.
- Windows opened directly on to the street so could not open the shutter or the window.
- It was fine , would have preferred a walk in shower .

Great restaurant.
Windows opened directly on to the street so could not open the shutter or the window.
B/fast was good value, dinner was good , but the menu was confusing .
It was fine , would have preferred a walk in shower .
Croisants were good!
The hotel was run down and extremely dirty. Carpets not cleaned, scaled shower heads etc. Only one towel and pillow on arrival.
Passable
We booked two rooms: one for a couple and one for an elderly relative and our daughter. When we arrived we were given two doubles even though the receipt said "double or twin". The evening manager said that a twin in France was also called a double and that if we had wanted a bed for our daughter we should have asked for a triple. I said I would contact Booking.com but they informed me that the manager of the hotel was not responding to their query. The next morning the story changed with a different manager and we were told that we should have asked for a twin specifically when we had booked, even though the receipt gave us the option. The hotel therefore charged us more for pulling out the couch bed ourselves and making it into a twin (which again was noted down in the receipt). Whilst a lovely dinner and breakfast was provided we feel that the management was not clear in their description and that the two excuses appeared discourteous at best and dishonest a worst. We would not return.
We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions; it is a good location for an overnight stop being a convenient distance from Calais. The premises are well maintained, clean and the owners are very efficient and welcoming. There is secure parking at the rear of the hotel. The Table D'Hote menu was very good and reasonably priced breakfast offered a good range of choice.
no criticism needed
modest auberge in typical rural french village. comfortable though not luxurious accomodation. exceptional food, especially at dinner. (you really have to eat here, no other local options) private parking on site.
Lovely place to stay, excellent service and tasty 4 course evening meal with great selection of local cheese.
the room was really nice & the on site restaurant was well. priced and food really good
price, village location
noisy guest, bathrooms could better
very French, in the central square. we are at the restaurant in the evening, and the food was delicious.
Absolutely everything from the efficient greeting to the exceptional breakfast. An amazing find. The evening meal was superb. Top class accommodation set in a beautiful and tranquil village (that's if you don't mind the church bells ringing through the day)
Nothing to dislike
Facilitated parking for my 8 metre long glider trailer.
Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. My partner would have preferred more fresh fruit.
Convenient location on our way to the South. Quiet place in a pretty village. Friendly and helpful staff. Good dinner.
If I had arrived at this place when I was in my twenties I would have got a job a wife and never left it was charming. The staff served us with a delightful meal and coped with the guests with elegance. The room was delightful and was decorated with local wooden furniture of a very high quality of craftsmanship.
That I had not been to this place when I was in my twenties.
We stayed here on our to Italy. it was a perfect and relaxing stop over place with on site free parking. The restaurant provided an excellent and very reasonable set menu dinner. The breakfast was also good.
The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Very friendly welcome from the owners with secure parking for my bike. Nice comfortable room. Good value food in the restaurant.
Very good breakfast. Good selection of food and drink
I have no complaints
