Hotel Macon la Salle

family room was great for 4 of us, location in the service station makes for no time lost on journey.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Breakfast was not included in the price as stated by Booking com.Signs to the hotel from within the rest area could be clearer

It must be clearly said that the hotel is accessible from A-6 northbound only.If you're travelling south, as I did, you must switch to the northbound lane in Macon and make to the aire.The next day you must keep going north 20 kms to the next exit in Tournus and swith to the southbound. It cost me 60 kms of unnecessary trip, 2.60 euro of unnecessary toll and over 1 hr time due to the morning traffic.Theoretically, you could park on the aire going south (by the McDonald's) and cross the footbridge, if you believe that people are nice and don't steal from cars.The hotel itself is OK though.

The room was clean but did not smell fresh

Convenient for a stopover during a long trip as you don’t have to exit the highway. Room was OK

The bedspreads did not look super fresh / clean even if the sheets were. Quite normal with a busy hotel like this

The hotel is on the highway, and very handy for travelling through. The facilities are much better than similar hotels, and the rooms are small but immaculately clean.

Only the fact that it was in the transport area on the motorway. Easy to access.

Dirty hotel Bed cover smelled of stale urine.Totally unkempt environment with long messy uncut grass all around the building - it looked like an uncared for motorway verge. Couldn’t ré-enter the building st 9am after putting first load of stuff in the car as the entrance was closed off and had to leave the building via a fire exit.A thoroughly unpleasant experience. Better to sleep in your car than stay in this dreadful hotel

Conveniently situated to break a long motorway journey Very clean room with comfortable bed Lovely lady who checked us in, presided over the breakfast buffet and also seemed to do the cleaning. Always cheerful, friendly and helpful

As the driver of an EV car we wanted to charge up before leaving in the morning. However it is impossible to return from the hotel car park to the charging stations because of the one way traffic system

The room and washing facilities were clean, the bed was comfortable, the fan was useful to get rid of a slightly musty smell, the shower was good. There was no traffic noise at all. Breakfast was very good value.

The decor is terrible; if I hadn’t booked pnline I would not have gone near it. The receptionist was a bit grumpy.

That's the perfect spot if your don't need anything except a place where to sleep on your way. It's on the highway so it's great if you are on that path, otherwise may not be your best option. Considered the price, it delivers the service, nothing more.The staff was cordial.

It's a stop on the highway so food options aren't many. Services are also limited.

Overall good, easy to get there and we had a good night.

In our room, another power socket or two wouldn't go amiss.

Rude staff from check in to leaving at breakfast time. Check in only from 5pm and check out by 9am! Seems a bit of push.

Classic motel, just by the highway. No need to veer off course and into some unknown town where you might lose a lot of time you'd rather spend resting.Rooms are small but functional and reasonably quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pets (dogs) are accepted and location allows for walks.

No air conditioning. This being southern France, it could get very hot in there. Luckily, we caught a fresher night.Double beds are a bit small, but maybe that's just me.
