    • Location, rooms and cleanliness of the castle was outstanding.

    Cons -

    • The walls in the corridor and stairs have to be painted and the doors renewed.

    • There could be a lot more activities for guests, given the vast land and more ways to stay engaged at the property. The self service bar was very limited for soft drinks and general management of it, lots of dishes laying around.

We really liked the beauty of the surroundings and of the architecture of the hotel . Beautiful old chateau . Helpful staff

We were really disappointed to not be able eat at the hotel restaurant . Apparently you need to book well in advance of the visit . There was no kettle in the room or tv . This was only available in the communal rooms. No hand towel or shower curtain . This meant we needed to ask for more towels and couldn’t really use the shower as it would have flooded the bathroom. We were also on the second floor so it was not easily accessible for getting drinks like tea or coffee . No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. For a premium hotel I would have expected these things to be available

Fantastic location , very peaceful, rooms comfortable.

Apart from breakfast no lunch or dinner available at the property . Honesty bar that was poorly stocked . Local taxi service incredibly expensive

The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and the grounds were astonishingly beautiful, especially in Spring Highly recommend

The whole environment, pictures did not lie. Standard of service in restaurants. Emphasis and usage of own/local products was stand out. Extensive grounds availbel to use. Peace and quiet.

Instructions on the self service bar, not clear. Coffee machine to be re-filled at the end of the night.

Beautiful building & grounds .A really nice restoration, respecting the original character but with modern touches thrown in ! Restaurant was also great we had the 7 course taster and it was delicious . Resident / owners cat is adorable!

One slight negative the heating & hot water appeared to be on a timer. We stayed in February & heating really needed to be on all the time ,suspect the radiators were also undersized for the rooms.

Second time we visited and we were once more very well received. We also had a small guide in the form of the chateau's cat who walked us to and from our car a few times. The room was more than spacious enough, the bathroom very luxurious. Breakfast was fresh and amazing. The view of course was breathtaking as well.

Everything about this property was delightful. I want to go back and stay longer. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There are walking paths around the property with ponds and we saw a beaver swimming. The sitting rooms were comfortable and there was wine and coffee.

    Didn’t find anything I didn’t like.

Beautiful and charming. The room was nice and the bathroom gorgeous. Amazing view from the room. Restaurant was beautiful.

    Breakfast was too expensive.

Beautiful location and lovely walks around the property in the Chateau’s land. Breakfast was very good indeed. The chateau was beautiful inside and out.

We had a problem with our shower flooding the room as it wasn’t draining well and this had clearly happened before as the beautiful parquet floor was stained.

It was an excellent stay, in the middle of forest where you can detach and relax. Plus very fresh and tasty food. All the staff is super friendly and helpful ❤️

Good looking, nice grounds. Brilliant restaurant on site. Great breakfast. Nice friendly staff. Good communication. Would recommend and have already done so.

Need a better menu description of what is/was on offer in the restaurant. Not just 7course menu etc etc. need a path to the restaurant from the main building. Grass and high heels not a good match.

    Great location and lovely chateau

No lift or offer of help with bags, no A/C and rooms warm, help yourself limited bar of local wine or beers. Bed slightly on the small side, but great shower

    10SarahPosted on: 10-2-2024

Everything was honestly amazing. We were received very hospitable, the beds felt like we were sleeping on clouds, breakfast was tasteful, the grounds were magnificent and the wine tasted great.

stunning chateau, expansive grounds, clean facilities, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast

    9TimothyPosted on: 9-15-2024

A beautiful Chateau set in a stunning location, from the moment we arrived, Betty and team were so accommodating and helpful, the instructions, were to use it like your home. The restaurant was quite spectacular, with the team ( including 4 chefs) taking care of your requests. A wonderful place and we look forward to making a return visit ??

The only thing I could mention in the whole of the stay, was the lack of tea / coffee in the room, but this was made up for with an honesty bar on the main floor( we were told to help yourself and make a note of what you had )

    9NickiePosted on: 9-14-2024

Location was amazing & staff were very friendly. The restaurant meal we had was top class.

    1MichaelPosted on: 9-1-2024

We didn't stay, the hotel had no restaurant or bar facilities on a Monday which was not shown on booking.com and did not meet our needs.

    A better description of facilities.
