Hotel Mar & Sol

The location of the hotel is right on the beach which is beautiful, the picture of the rooms only reflect the rooms over looking the sea. Our room which was modern tastefully decorated clean with a wonderful hot power shower ; it was located down steps with window facing a wall which I suppose reflected the budget price and the fact we only stayed one night. The continental breakfast which was adequate and included 1 American Coffee and decaf available. The host was very friendly, helpful and attentive.

The 2 pillows were of poor quality with one extra one if needed. The shower head needed attention. It was clean but calcified. I would recommend they replace plastic cups with proper glasses and better quality juices .

The location was brilliant, so close to the beach so able to hear the sea all night long! The time of our visit was at the end of the season so it was quiet. We had a friendly greeting and introduction to our rooms. We were there for one night only and were specifically interested in locations of the Inspector Montalbano series. A 20 minute walk along the beach and quiet roads took us to Punta Secca for the evening and to see what we searched for.

To our knowledge there were no overnight staff on the premises

The room, facilities, breakfast everything in that respect was fine

I was charged twice, being told my credit card didn't work (not true). Then treated extremely poorly by staff about it. I was not able to communicate about it, just told it hadn't happened and then physically cornered when I said I'm taking time out as it hadturni ed into an argument. By a man, when I'm a lone female traveller. A disgusting way to treat a guest. I got the refund afterwards via booking.Com.

Close to the beach, and main road to get to other location, nice breakfast, comfortable bed

The lication, our room with balcón y, chairs and table in front of the sea. Specially the kind service of Horacio, who was very helpful. also Giussepe very kind. Definetily we will come back. Thankyou Horacio!!

Excellent location beach front. The staff is very kind.

The bathroom needs a new shower panel.

The hotel manager, Oracio, was extremely welcoming and accommodating, especially without little one year old. Crib was provided, he let me use the kitchen to wash bottles, and provided a great breakfast even if with Covid-19 the buffet breakfast is not allowed. The room was cleaned while we were away even though we were only staying two nights and extra towels were provided when we went to the beach. The beach and kite surfing were right in front of the hotel. We also enjoyed short day trips to Scicli and Castello Donna Fugata. Also the shower had great water pressure and temperature :)
