Masseria Bagnara Resort & Spa

A stunning luxury resort nestled in rural southern Puglia and is only 1/2 mile to the gorgeous golden beaches of Marina di Lizzano! This gem of a Masseria is surrounded with endless fields of rich agriculture and flanked by the enchanting aquamarine waters of the Ionian Sea. The location is easy to get to by car and accessable to so many Apulian towns. The restaurant serves traditional Apulian cuisine with a creative modern flair and has a lovely selection of local wines. We were a family of 5 staying in the spacious and clean Executive Suite with a 5-month-old baby and 4-year-old. The staff and management could not have been more kind and accommodating to ALL our needs. We were so RELAXED enjoying the large swimming pool, the delicious morning breakfast buffets & delightful evening dinners, spending afternoons at the nearby Bahia Del Sol beach and evening adventures into little nearby towns! If you are looking for The Perfect Puglia – Masseria Bagnara Resort & Spa is an Italian Utopia!

This place is like you are staying at a friends' country retreat. It is special and personable. The staff were so friendly and helpful and NOTHING was ever a problem. The owner greeted us daily/nightly and we loved the high end feel of the spaces and the food was beautiful - don't come here to lose weight!It is kind of in the middle of nowhere but perfect for a relaxing few nights. We didn't use the spa but the hotel recommended a great beach club a few miles away. We will return for sure.

On the backwindow of the room you see the maintenance sector. Its not so nice…The beach is too far away to walk there…

Excellent stay. Great staff, Perfect dinner and a lovely breakfast, a marvellous wine tasting with Amadeo. We especially liked the personal treatment we received. Would return any time.

Gorgeous pool on a quiet farm close to the beach. The rooms are spacious, including separate living room, walk in closet and toilet room (separate from the shower). Loved the front entry sitting area and the back patio. The staff were so nice and made reservations for us at a local beach club and provided us towels to take with us and held our luggage all before check-in

The breakfast wasn’t just ok. It was a cold buffet. For the price and location there should have also been cooked eggs.

Food was excellent and staff super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Also made reservations at Bahia del sol beach, which was awesome.

My wife felt bed was a little hard.

The Masseria Bagnara is an oasis of peace and silence close to beautiful beaches in the Ionic Sea in Taranto area. The property is very beautiful, well equipped with a nice swiming pool. The room is spacious, comfortable, good bed and shower, the breakfast is very good. The staff is very gentle and polite giving support for all the things you want to do.

If you plan to get into the swimming pool after coming back from a tour in a hot day, remeber that there is no food no snacks available after 15:00h.

This was such a warm and friendly, family run hotel. The restaurant had a fresh selection of dishes every evening and we felt welcomed and really enjoyed our stay.

The peace and tranquillity; the friendliness of the staff; the quality of the food and the cleanliness.

I would liked to have seen a slightly better selection at breakfast but what was there was good.

The 25 meter pool is fantastic and the wine cellar (some really great local vintages)The beaches and running possibilities around.

I just missed a gym facility, but this is a detail.

Beautiful Masseria with a tasteful mix of the modern with tradition, good hospitality, the pleasant standard rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, the meals were good and it is a good location for the local beaches. A pleasant place to relax.

The region is not tops in terms of tourist and other infrastructure. This is a good and a bad thing. Mostly good, but it depends what you are looking for.
