    Pros +

    • - Beautiful location and the compound specifically. Quiet, relaxing and full of character. - Amazing breakfast, one of the best we had - Helpful and genuinely friendly staff- Complimentary drinks and wine were a lovely addition
    • Amazing location very quiet and authentic simple but luxury in the same time
    • the idea of the place is great. a village converted to a boutique hotel. and going up and down to the old village. the estate and entire premises is incredibly gorgeous. and the views are stunning.

    Cons -

    • These are somewhat minor cons to mention- Additional cost for visiting the heated spa pool, felt a bit "unfair" - Room service dishes were delicious, yet limited and took a while to be delivered- Fresh vegetable dishes in restaurants are limited
    • The overall management of this beautiful place is horrid. The staff were super unfriendly and obnoxious. The room service weren't clean nor thorough. The breakfast is god awful. Almost inedible. I've seen better breakfasts at a roadside B&B, let alone a Relais et Chateaux hotel in Tuscany!
    • Very rural, but that's it's charm also. Far drive from Rome or Florence airports.

The staff was phenomenally helpful and friendly.

They need to figure out passage to the old village as quiet carts would be much more preferable to the constant of staff driven cars and small trucks for workers. Creates noise that just isn’t needed in those settings and takes away from the wonderful foot journey from main facility to village when one has to dodge or feel pushed by vehicles.

The room design was gorgeous and view was great

Parking is quite far from the room building and the service is not at “luxury “ level to me

Everything! The experience was dreamy, the staff were amazing, the property is beautiful, luscious and cozy. It is definitely a special experience and would revisit in the future! We tried the cooking with Chef Nikola & Chef Lizabette, it was like cooking with a friend! We booked horse riding with Coach Lina, she was the best, very patient, friendly and we enjoyed our time! Liana at the reception was the best host, and the team are just amazing from the buggy drivers (Thomaso, John Carlo), to the handwritten notes from the resident manager! Thank you for making our experience special.

I literally had tears in my eyes leaving this place! The service, the attention to detail, the history, the combination of luxury, nature, wine, food and even a little bit of fashion is exceptional. I can not recommend more!

We went during the third week of April which could be a little rainy, so unfortunately we didn't get the chance to go horseback riding. That is of course up to nature and to be honest there are PLENTY of other activities you can do to compensate.

Property was beautiful, clean, staff was generous

    Quietness in the wilderness

Chimney bugs were terrible as soon as we fire the fireplace

    Idyllic location with wonderful staff

Confusion where reception jammed to check in.

The perfect stay in Toscana. Our room in il Borgo was very comfortable and extremely clean. The service offered is impeccable and the dining experiences were extremely memorable. I would highly recommend the horse ride with Michela, a great guide and passionate horse rider who will take your around the estate showing you the beautiful vineyards of the family.

We loved staying here and have already decided to come back for our anniversary. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, the location was exquisite, and our room was very comfortable. We had probably the best meal of our lives at Osteria del Burro - this chef is outstanding. The other restaurants were also very good and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I highly recommend taking a horseback riding tour of the property!

This property was outstanding! We would come back again for sure. The service was incredible along with the estate, facilities, food, and activities. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

We loved everything about the property.

The property is stunning, the rooms are beautiful and well appointed, and the staff was very pleasant. It’s a very beautiful and relaxing place. The included breakfast is lovely.

With the exception of the breakfast, the food is very mediocre and overpriced for what you’re getting, even the Osteria “fine dining” option, and the menus are very limited. The bar and wine options are also ridiculously overpriced - an Aperol Spritz is 23 euro???

    10SpirosPosted on: 9-15-2024

Facilities, swimming pool, food, wines, amazing breakfast!!!

We didnt like the wine tasting, too expensive with no reason

An amazing experience staying in an old medieval village, immaculately converted into a hotel with great facilities and excellent service.

    10RobertPosted on: 8-8-2024

Very unique hotel, in a beautiful location. The rooms very tastefully decorated and of a good size. The facilities were amazing, with lots of activities. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We only stayed two nights, but would have loved to stay a few more!! If you want to get away from the stresses of life, this is definitely the place.

    10AlexanderPosted on: 7-21-2024

The setting was absolutely beautiful. Felt like a movie set. Rooms were big and modernized.

It would have been nice if only open golf carts were used to transport guests instead of those little cars.

Pretty, well appointed, great breakfast, friendly wait staff, comfortable bathroom.
