Great location. Lovely room with sea view. Waiting staff at breakfast were great. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of hot and options. Reception staff were helpful

When down by the pool there was no service unless you climbed up the steps to the restaurant. Staff were aware that we were down there but did not come and ask if there was anything we wanted. I would have expected more from a 5 star hotel. We were offer the use of 'WhatsApp' to contact staff but I am not comfortable with that. TV was poor. The Hotel channel explaining about the hotel did not work

Cala del Porto provided a warm welcome. The reception staff were all friendly, efficient and keen to make the guest experience a good one - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel location is exceptionally good, and there were free shuttle transfers to and from the port restaurants and the local private beaches. The pool area, pool bar and public spaces were efficiently looked after and thoughtfully provided.

Meals were of good quality with local ingredients and enthusiastically served by the predominantly young restaurant staff. There was, however, a lack of senior management presence in the restaurant, which would almost certainly have enhanced the overall experience had it been available.

Beautiful views from hotel and room overlooking the bay and marina. Large balcony. Tasteful decor in the room and large comfy bed. Shuttle to the beach. Fine dining restaurant with excellent service which is a theme of the hotel. Pleasant pool area.

Slightly isolated for alternative restaurant choices if near to the end of season. Not a lot of sunbeds if the hotel is busy.

It was very quiet while were there empty dining rooms. Peaceful, pretty room. Nice linens. Friendly staff especially Katarina.

I could use my blow dryer in the room. They only had small power plugs. This was odd to me. Also no iron for guests to use, instead quite expensive to have laundry do the ironing. It should be convenient to the guest and travelers always need an iron. There is no way I would let some stranger iron my favorite dress. Bed was super comfy.

The location in the centre of Punta Ala and looking to the West is fantastic. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is top notch and the breakfast excellent.

The staff really make up for the slightly outdated interior of the hotel. We were staying with our dog & they were really helpful and understanding with that. Moreover, we always felt very welcome.

This was an unexpected delight. I stopped en route, and this hotel sits in an idyllic location overlooking the harbour and Elba. I will be returning for a longer stay

The welcome, the stunning view and location, the friendliness of the team. We were upgraded to a lovely room with the most incredible view of the beautiful pool area and marina - they were all so helpful and attentive. One of the breakfast team even took one of our 2 dachshunds for a walk around the gardens! We will be back for sure as we travel to and from Italy 4 times per year.

Perfect hotel. This was not the first time my husband and I had stayed there, and every year we received excellent service from the best hotel in Italy. We stayed in room 206 with a great view of the sea. The hotel kindly provided us with free shuttle service to the beach, which we were not aware of. Upon check-in, we were offered valet parking services and free drinks. Special thanks to Julio at the reception, who was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was varied and for dinner, the chef himself came to see if we liked everything. We will definitely be back this summer with friends for a longer stay.

Fantastic one on one service, very attentive to welcoming, making sure our needs met. In particular Francesca from reception was sensational. Very communicative prior to arrival. Lovely fruit platter on arrival and made to feel very special. Beautiful gardens, lovely beach area, extensive breakfast menu, room very comfortable and nicely furnished.

Difficult to find by car. The dinner menu was nice for one meal but then no other options on multiple nights. No room service for dinner. A more casual menu would be a good addition. The resort needs some finessing as it is only in its infancy. I would encourage the resort to do some more staff training on initiative and identifying needs so that rather than asking for something it has been thought of for you. For example, the beach area with chairs would benefit from a drinks service and a beachside menu. When we asked if this was possible to have drinks on the beach it was but if someone came without asking that would have been really top notch. There was no where to wash your feet after being at the beach like a shower. This resort has the makings of a fabulous resort and I hope these comments are seen not as a criticism but as suggestions for the future.

The view from the dining and pool area is absolutely beautiful. The beach is great and very pretty, I would prefer the cost be included in the stay and not having to reserve and pay for the use of the beds, umbrellas and towels.

The properties lobby is very outdated and not inviting. The bathroom vanity is also fairly uncomfortable and can use some updating as well.

Location, staff, local restaurants. Boat trip. Hotel pool and hotel beach club restaurant.

Newer pillows and a little more give in the mattress. Not a place to enjoy eggs for breakfast. But if boAting you will have a lunch. So light breakfast probably suits. Good cheese, meats, bread selection, yogurts and spreads good and butter. Good coffee to order.

The staff is what lifted this hotel for us, with special mentions to Maria Laura in reception and Eduard who helped us with thoughtful recommendations for day trips and all the small issues incurred along our holiday. we absolutely loved the view and watching the sunset from the pool bar. The size of the superior garden view room that we had was just perfect. The Alleluja beach was very well kept and excellent for unexperienced swimmers. The complimentary water bottles and aperitivo were a very nice touch.

We thought value for money for a hotel on the Italian coast was overall relatively weak. a few issues for us. this is not a beach hotel, there is free transfer to a nearby beach 3km by car which was nice, but paying for access to the beach for a 5 star hotel is not something we incurred before. Scarcity of breakfast selection and extra charges for simple warm dishes (e.g. sunny side up eggs). Quite a few issues in the room including sulphur-like smell which required a room deodorant, very low water pressure.

The views from the hotel couldn't be better - it overlooks the marina and islands. The breakfast is a great experience, everything you could want (although there is a charge for some items, like omelettes). The staff were all really nice and helpful and the level of cleanliness was excellent. The reception staff gave great local recommendations.

There is no coffee machine in the rooms, which is a bit bad for any hotel but particularly an Italian one! The pool is nice but the beach club is a 5 minute drive away and while the hotel put on a shuttle there is a EUR45 charge for beach beds which, given the cost and prestige of the hotel, should be included. The dinner was ok but the menu was limited and the wine was overpriced. We also experienced 1-2 hour wait times for our lunch orders, which is not acceptable in a 5* hotel.

The surroundings alas do not match the wonderful hotel. Old and somewhat come down condominiums.
