- My second visit. Will return next year. To be the only person not a town resident. How can you not love that. View spectacular. Breakfast great. Labro is heaven on earth.
- Absolutely charming place in a set of medieval stone houses that were carefully restored by a Flemish architect, whose wife runs the hotel. Great breakfast, some nice restaurants in town ... Do stop there if you are in the area!.We took a 2 day break on the Via Francesco from Rome to Assisi there and it was a great choice!
- We arrived early and we were greeted with a wonderful breakfast. The establishment is just lovely and the town is a great rest stop for pilgrims.
Cons -
- In April nights can be cold, thus the breakfast room had a fire going in the big fireplace ... Still a jacket was in order to be comfortable. Obviously, this becomes an asset during hot dinner days!
- The only minor issue that we had to face is that currently there is not a supermarket operating in the village and you have to supply yourself with groceries from the nearby village before going to Labro.
- The only thing is that there are no little store or little boutique or museum in the village

Highly recommend! The hotel is situated in a charming, unique village perched atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views of the nearby lake. Set in an old stone building, the hotel has spacious rooms designed with minimalist elegance, creating a serene and comfortable atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly kind and attentive to all our needs, making our stay feel extra special. The breakfast, simple and absolutely delicious was the perfect start to our day.For families with strollers, access can be a bit tricky, but the short walk from the parking lot through the magical village streets is well worth the effort. An unforgettable experience!
An amazing place for relaxing holidays enjoying the tranquility of a village that retains its character in a resort that has all the comfort that you can have at your own house. A place where you only want to relax, stroll along the cobbled pathways within the village and enjoy from your room the beautiful view of the nearby lake.

I like the unique style and location , not a simple hotel but a different style of hotel
The only thing is that there are no little store or little boutique or museum in the village
The suites and rooms of both apartments were very nice and well appointed, nicely furnished, kitchen very nice with all necessary utensils, bathrooms are very nice and also well appointed (good hairdryer which is rare to find in small hotels in Italy). The views are breathtaking!
The only negative is to get there. The property is located in a tiny medieval town on top of the mountain. There are small stone roads with stairs up and down. You cannot roll a suitcase at all and the parking is far so it’s best that you take only a small carry on. You need to wear proper walking shoes. There are only 3 tiny restaurants in the village. Osteria Boccondivino is fantastic !
Ambience, location, views, friendliness of la signora making breakfast which was excellent.
Kettle didn't have suitable plug and no mugs (we borrowed from kitchen!).
The room and overall hotel was very charming and beautiful! Room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the lake. The town was very cool to walk around and visit. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and staff was kind.
Our room did have a little bit of an ant issue by our window but it wasn’t a huge problem by any means. Everything else about the room and hotel was perfect. Just a note that this town is pretty small and seemed to have few restaurants open. We pretty much only ate breakfast at the hotel and dinner at a restaurant in town. No lunch options which wasn’t a big problem but something to be aware of. Also the last day we were there nothing was open for lunch or dinner so we were hungry that night. Maybe it isn’t always like this but this was our experience in October.
The room in which we stayed had a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. The woman who ran the inn prepared a delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs, fresh breads, and cold cuts). The breakfast room was also beautifully appointed.
This inn is definitely not a place for infirm or disabled travelers. The walk from the car park, while not horribly long, is uphill over very rough, uneven pavement. Once you get to the inn itself there are several steep staircases leading to the main door. Then, once inside, there are additional steep staircases up to the room. When we went out for dinner I couldn't find any light switch to illuminate the inn's outside staircases, which can be treacherous in utter darkness. Thank goodness for the flashlight app on my smartphone.
The location and views were excellent and memorable. We were on a medieval village made up entirely of stone, perched on top of a mountain. The scenery and view of the lake and the surrounding mountains was exceptional. The hotel was an old house refurbished into a hotel. Very comfortable and pleasant. We found the experience of travelling all the way up and down a mountain simply 'cool' and the surrounding areas/regions around Labro is also worth visiting. Highly recommended.
Our stay coming to an end
Magic place? Incredible view from apartment, great interior design and delicious breakfast. Dreaming to come back in one day?
The terrass and view were amazing, the kitchen was well stocked, the living room had a lovely fireplace, the bed was comfortable. Beautifully decorated
Amazing location, living room with breathtaking views on a lake and a very welcoming owner Anne
Breakfast yummy, Anna was really lovely to us! Stunning location in the hills, quiet village, very charming. We did a hike down to the lake and back up which was lovely.
Shower doors a little fiddly which could make the room a bit wet but otherwise it was perfect. Be aware that without a car this area is tough to navigate!
I loved the village, just amazing how it was restored. I asked Anne and she explained it to me, thank you! It was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The surroundings were that of an ancient building and I am flabbergasted how they managed to renovate and rejuvenate this and other buildings. the view from my room to the lake and hills was amazing! Anne was a wonderful host and the breakfast was divine (I ate way too much of her freshly baked cakes and home made condiments). She had lit a fire and it was cosy. There was a heater in the room, nice hidden lights and the kitchen design was stunning. Anne was very patient and helpful with my questions re wifi and the village’s restauration. Her place is right next door to a nice Osteria and it was quiet and peaceful in the village.
This isn’t complaining but the shower could only be used when hand held. I found the toilet in this kind of cubicle rather uncomfortable, air-less but very clean. I guess it just can’t be helped to design within the confined space of ancient heritage listed buildings.
Idyllic view. Excellent breakfast - eggs cooked to order, good coffee, freshly baked bread and cakes, and more. The property is not reachable by car, which for me is a plus.
The stay in the nice old building and the beautiful panorama of the area around. The cleaness of the room and kitchen. The very good breakfast and friendly staff.
that it’s restored in a beautiful place
the staff, the rooms where tiny and had strange arrangements for bathrooms
I loved the place: Labro is magic, up on a hill it has a wonderful view over the lake and the whole valley, the streets and the buildings have remained frozen in time and you feel the history behind any stone. The hotel is charming, curated in every detail to preserve the athmosphere yet the apartments are comfortable and modern with every amenities (except for the bidet ;-)). Breakfast is home made and served with attention to detail.
