Pros +
- Friendly staff, nice outdoor seating, and convenient parking underneath trees to provide some shade. Pretty view over the mountains.
- Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice location and environment.
- I loved the location and the property is decent enough and the staff are very friendly and helpful
Cons -
- Beds and pillows are extremely firm. Aircon worked but was very loud and only moderately effective (though, to be fair, it was very warm out). The rooms are most definitely not soundproofed in any way, a conversation at normal volume sounds like it's taking place right there in your room. Could not figure out how to turn off the lights in the bathroom, but that might have been user error.
- The food
- Man at reception was very grumpy. Didn't seem to believe us when we told him the room door didn't work. Moved us to a new room, but there was no apology for the inconvenience. Restaurant was nice but expensive, even charged for tap water, then they tried to overcharge us on the bill. No kettle in the room.

The food
Room was OK but had to be moved as the door lock didn't work. Breakfast was included.

Initial reception staff were friendly. Goid location for our needs
Room wasn't 100% clean and decor generally tired. There was a fridge but it was not plugged in. There was a tea tray but only had 3 tea bags - no coffee or milk.Breakfast was average. Some staff not particularly friendly.Bed was very hard so not really comfortable
Passable
Poor breakfast, old furnitures, the room and corridor smelled of cigarettes.
Nice location, friendly staff, comfortable and large rooms.
The restaurant La Siepe was not bad, but not good either. Better choosing some options in Pinerolo.
Very poor
Although it is a 4* hotel, the air conditioners do not refrigerate at all.The entry card to the room didn't work until they finally gave me a regular key.Maintenance level is very low and everyone in the hotel knows about the problems and just ignores it
The garden was nice, we've found parking and the receptionist guy was very kind.
There were various stains on the bedding, and I preferred not to use it, the bed frame was torn off, this could be put back together by hand, the bathroom was very dirty and the shower pipe was held together by the holy spirit. It was cheap accommodation, but... Not that cheap :)
The stay at the hotel Barrage was amazing. I can higly recommend it. The breakfast was really good. The rooms are modern, clean and well furnished. I would recommend it to everybody, who is looking for a beautiful stay in the area of Pinerolo.
not too fancy...and rich of food but okay
too much noise
spacious rooms with all comforts (perhaps a kettle with tea and coffee would have been appreciated). our room has a view on the mountains and Monviso was stunning. overall outstanding value for money.
breakfast was average and dinner was just ok. service was excellent though
Hotel Barrage is outdated.
Worst ever receptionist experience! We booked a family suite (1 double bed, 2 single beds) and the receptionist Mrs. Giada told us the following:1. We did a cancellation. Reality: we had an official confirmation from Booking.com.2. The receptionist told us that the Hotel Barrage does not provide the family suite as booked and visible on Booking.com.3. We did not get our confirmed family suite. Instead we got a double bed and a very uncomfortable sleeping couch for our two kids.4. We asked to get in contact with the hotel manager. Result: the receptionist did not want to contact the hotel manager to solve the situation. Instead we were told to look for another hotel. Next day the new receptionist Mrs. Victoria gladely provided us with the initially booked and confirmed family suite. In parallel the housekeeping ladies and the restaurant manager approached us in a highly professional manner. They were already informed about the disrespectful behaviour from Mrs. Giada the day before.
just enough to have a roof and a bed for overnight
the noise insude and around the hotel
Very nice and comfortable room. Clean private toilet inside the room, equipped with fresh towels and toiletries. The breakfast was also very very good, both savoury and sweet options. Tasty coffee and italian croissants! Friendly staff plus an incredible view over the mountains. 100% recommendable!
Had all the facilities necessary. clean sheets and shower. could be lovely if some money spent on updating.
shabby and run down. guttering outside my room loose and flew off in the night.
Pleasant
A nice hotel that has seen better times. The venue is visibly old and not well kept: a real pity. Coffee was quite bad and wifi did not work in the room
The elegant room and the cleanliness
there is no gym equipment despite there is a gym
Very friendly and polite staff.Good room with a lot oof space. We will come back again for sure !
Bathroom need some service or equipment change , but small thingsIn General was everything good!
definitely one to avoid
Their “garden view” rooms are actually mold-filled rooms facing the parking lot. The first room they gave us was so smelly that we couldn’t physically stay there, so they moved us to a room next to it that at least didn’t smell as much but was full of dust and was, in a word, disgusting. We were there for a friend’s wedding, and they actually gave the first smelly room to another guest who then had to crash in another guest’s room because the smell was so bad, so we are not the only ones who complained. The room we ended up sleeping in had no windows (the door is considered the “window”), was still quite moldy, and was literally falling apart. Staff was outwardly pleasant but not forthcoming on the status of the rooms nor did they give any sort of compensation for the subpar accommodation. We speak/are Italian and they completely brushed off our questions about why they even rent these rooms.I don’t know how the other rooms in the hotel are, but be aware that if you book here you might be booking the rooms I described above and still pay the full price per night.
