Herol - my mountain retreat

Everything! Clean, well decorated, modern, fantastic food, well located for hiking.

It was a beautiful place very spacious and nice view. The breakfast was very tasteful.Definitely recommend to anyone who is trying to enjoy the Dolomites from an amazing view

The hotel's location is outstanding, with gorgeous mountain views - absolutely breathtaking. The dinner and breakfast in the terrace were outstanding. The room was spacious, cozy, with comfortable beds and beautiful balcony views. We were blown away!

They charge for tap water...No female hygiene products in the bathroom.

This mountain hotel is a gem! Stunning, cozy design with beautiful views. The food is delicious, fresh, and creative. Rooms are super clean, comfy, and inviting. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive. Highly recommend!

The scenery is beautiful from the accommodation, the staff were friendly and helpful (even though most couldn't speak english), and the breakfast was delightful with lots of options (no hot food).

The spa/sauna was only open from 1500-1800, so we couldn't even use it after our day of hiking (which was the main reason we chose this accommodation). The shower didn't have a door, so water would spray everywhere and soak the floor and floor mat. The rooms also didn't have a fridge or kettle, so you had to go downstairs to store your food or ask for boiled water. Otherwise, you had to pay 3€ just for a cup of tea, which is usually free in the room.

Spectacular surroundings, everything spotless, new and very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were amazing and fresh with the option to have them on the terrace. Room was huge and amazing view.

Dinner options are limited and even though the offered menu in-house was superb it was also pricey.

The roads to get there are a bit scary.

Herol Mountain Retreat is really exceptionell. And we can highly recommend this location. The staff (family) are so nice and gentle. Helpful with every questions we had.The rooms are really nice, quiet. The Restaurant was excellent. Most products (Meat, jam, vegetables, grain/cereal products) made by their own. And the Spa was wonderful after a great hiking tour. We´ll come back.

A place with a charm :) It's located literally in the mountains with great views all around it. The hosts are friendly and put a lot of care into running the hotel. We liked breakfasts. There are dinners prepared by a chef but we didn't have a chance to taste it. The room isn't big but there are a lunch lounge, a main common room and a terrace with a panoramic view at the mountains where you can chill and rest during your stay. If you're planning to move around Dolomites, getting to the hotel requires climbing up / driving down a winding road. But for just staying in the hotel and enjoying hotel's facilities (horses!) it's great :)

100% Recommended if you have a car. Incredible view with great service. The food is perfect and worth every penny. We spent two nights here and everything is perfect.

The drive up one side of the mountain from the direction of Lake Braid was tricky, coming down on the other side much easier!

Open bathroom style not the best, because of noise. Also noise was from another rooms toilets and showers. Very expensive dinner, but also very good local food.

The views are absolutely gorgeous! The staff is very nice and the whole property is clean and cozy.
