    Pros +

    • Absolutelly fantastic. The chalet is sorrounded by nature. The hosts are the best in the world and their food (is a family business) is simply the best.
    • Location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff
    • liked everything the staff couldn't do enough for you They were great, food was delicious even the bread was homemade, all the staff were genuinely happy and not putting on like some places, if I'm around that area again will definitely go there ( special thanks to Romina)

    Cons -

    • There is nothing not to like
    • The walls are quite thin, which would normally be fine, but we were woken in the early hours by our neighbours taking showers!!
    • Nothing, only the access to the parking, just to say something...you needed to disturb the host each time you arrived or left...

An idyllic setting, the large terrace from our room overlooked the serene lake, which we walked around in about half an hour and a short stroll to the beautiful village is like stepping back 200 years. Romina, Monica and her family are absolutely lovely. Totally family run for decades, Romina, who is front of house, and available at all times with valuable information, is so friendly and helpful, speaking excellent English, and Monica's cooking is to die for - especially her creamy truffle pasta! Our evening meals were delicious - you can choose a la carte or a set menu, including venison and fresh trout dishes... Breakfast was mainly buffet style, with ample choice (savoury and sweet) and excellent cappuccino. We were made to feel so welcome, they even insisted we park our classic car on their gated driveway. We will be back next year!

If it were possible, I would give a rating of 12. A beautiful traditional mountain hotel located in a fantastic location by the lake. Beautiful treachery with a pond, waterfall and trout. Very friendly staff who are interested in your comfort. Excellent home cooking (it is better to arrange dinner in advance). Definitely recommend.

The perfect day starts already with our arrival. You ride with your bike around the corner and holy heaven, what a view ! when arrive at the hotel the parking gate was opened, the welcome was excellent and the dinner.. lovely.Hospitality and kindness are outstanding. I am planning to come back again, once riding in that area.

We recently stayed at this charming hotel and brought along our two dogs. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure both we and our furry friends felt comfortable and at home. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the food. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing some of the best cuisine we've had in Italy. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was impeccable. The combination of excellent service, pet-friendly atmosphere, and outstanding food made our stay truly memorable. We are already looking forward to coming back next year! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic hotel experience.

Our second time at Chalet soul Lago and we just love it. The family are nothing but lovely and can’t do enough for you. The room, terrace, views, location, secure parking and fantastic dinner with lovely wine always surpass expectations. We will continue going back! Oh…and the karaoke after dinner…don’t miss it and do join in. The family are all fantastic performers!

The owners/hosts, particularly Monny, were fantastic. Warm and welcoming but also not invasive. The weather was pretty rainy when we were there so after dinner they had a really enjoyable surprise for us guests. It is a family run business and you can tell they but a lot of care into everything they do and work very hard. When we left they also gave us a small gift of homemade biscuits. The chalet itself is cosy and spotlessly clean and the views are amazing. There was a great sundeck on our room which would be wonderful if not raining so much but nice to have anyway. The food was fab. We had a three course dinner for 30 euros and everything was fresh and delicious. I suggest you book dinner here as it is quite high up windy roads in the mountain and I didn't see many other places to eat (and also it was a great experience). The location is beautiful, up on the mountains and right on a lake (note no swimming or fishing allowed) with lots of walks in the area. Very peaceful. Rooms are simple chalet style, not huge but functional and very clean with wardrobe, bedside tables, ensuite bathroom with shower, loo, sink, bidet. TV was quite small but then it is not somewhere you go to sit and watch TV. WiFi was free and good if you need it. You can sit in the bar/breakfast room downstairs for appertivo or coffee if you want. We had a wonderful time, thank you!

Nothing. It is as the photos on Booking and as we expected in this respect but owners/staff made it even better. (Maybe if you are not very mobile this is not for you as there are steps from the car park to the chalet and then of course stairs inside.)

Beautiful location overlooking the lake, our room was spacious with a huge terrace, sunbeds and stunning lake view. The tiny village a couple of minutes walk from the hotel is delightful and so picturesque!! The hotel is run by the loveliest family that make you feel so welcome and even provided singing entertainment for us in the evening which was such fun, food in the restaurant was delicious.Would definitely stay here again, we absolutely loved it!!

The location is remote but worth the detour! The setting is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the restaurant is wonderful!

A reallynice place for those seeking for a rest in the Alps. The staff was very good organized, helpful and welcoming. The room was super clean and private balcony spacious. The breakfast buffet was great, with a variety of different foods including homemade cakes and cookies.

    Everything was 10/10.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the rooms comfortable and well furnished. Our room had a large balcony with table, chairs and sun-loungers. The staff were all very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was impressive, the food very good. During our stay the Queen died, and many of the staff came over to us to offer their condolences. When we checked out we were given a bag containing home made biscuits.

Amazing location close after the Cenis pass (a great way to avoid the almost 50 euro Frejus tunnel toll) by a super cute tiny village, absolutely gorgeous place to relax after a very long journey from the west coast of France. Immaculately clean and comfortable room with a terrace and good value for money. We had dinner and the food was absolutely excellent, unusual and very talented cooking. Complimenti!

Nothing to complain about, the owners are delightful and we would recommend it highly if you need a break on a journey from Italy to France through the Alps.
