The location is great in a quiet area overlooking the lake.The reception has a variety of sitting areas to read or relax.The room has a balcony with a nice view.The staff is helpful and friendly.

The room doesn’t have a coffee machine or kettle.The breakfast options could be better.The village is very small, it doesn’t have any activities to do, it’s suitable for relaxing.Overall, it was a good experience.

Staff and food was amazing. Dinner was the best meal of 12 nights in Italy. Right on the lake, great views.

A little off the beaten path, but, oh well. We picked this one without out fully realizing extra time next morning. Our fault tho.

We had the BEST room (103)! It was beautiful and had french doors that opened up to the largest balcony on the property facing the lake. Beautiful!!!

No frig in the room. No ice machine. The location was somewhat remote and therefore not convenient for sight seeing or shopping. There was not really any consierge services. They had the bus schedule (and even got that wrong on one occasion, causing us to miss our bus), but that was really all the information they could offer.

Everything is just right outside your doorstep! Old stone hiking pathways that lead to breathtaking mountain villages! A nice little supermarket with tasty pastries! A delicious Pizza restaurant across the street, with super nice staff! The bus stop and Ferry Boat stop is right in front of the hotel! What more could you want! Oh, Spectacular Views of Lake Lugano, Mountains and Villages from your balcony! ? Amazing Staff! Very friendly and helpful! Room was comfortable with air conditioning! Quaint little old hotel with lots of Charm! Thanks! ??

Pillows were too hard! Paper thin walls, you can hear everything! Breakfast was nothing special!

Beautiful location, terrace, and sun lounging deck with access to the lake for swimming. So much potential. On a hot summers day I imagine the terrace is fantastic.. sadly it rained for us!Very helpful staff, the security guard in particular was very accommodating in allowing us to leave early in the morning to beat the Milan traffic.

The property is quite dated, and could be improved with a cosmetic uplift in the rooms. The room was a bit dusty, and had a slight “musty” smell. Tip: Keep your windows closed in the evening to avoid midges from the lake flying into your room (we made this mistake!) - don’t forget you’re close to the lake.

First of all I like that going there, it gives me the same feeling, when I saw the pictures in booking. The hotel furnishing, the view from balcony, eating breakfast in the beatiful hotel 's yard.....The service was polite, friendly and professional.

The pilow was hard for me, but this doesn't effected to my sleep.

Nice place with a great view of Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains, and the room was clean.

The breakfast could have been a bit more varied, as the selection was quite simple. There was only one coffee machine for all the guests, which had some issues.

Excellent location of Valsolda with a stunning lake view, with a gorgeous landscape behind the village and close to Lugano. The atmosphere of the interior of the hotel and the garden at the lake are absolutely great. We had the most beautiful room and balcony. The bathroom was updated to modern standards and was very comfortable.

The menu and the food are a bit limited and not up to the excellent standard of the rest of the hotel.

The location was great. We had a lovely balcony looking over the lake and the ferry stop was next door.

The rooms were dated and the bed was extremely uncomfortable - notably the pillow. The dinner menu sounded great but the chef couldn’t deliver and service was very slow. The choice at breakfast was very limited and there was an extra charge of 5 euros for an omelet or scrambled egg.

All rooms, the restaurant and the “beach” are facing the lake. Also our room had a balcony with a great lake view. The room was basic, but the setting made it exceptional. If you like hiking, then it is very easy to start right behind the hotel and go into the mountains.

The only thing we did not like that much was the food in the restaurant. An important reason for our visit to Italy is the food, and the food in the hotel we did not find that amazing.
