Hotel La Torre

Staff were amazing. The rooms were very cozy. Breakfast was great. We ate in the Restsurant at night and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

The staff were very helpful, especially Gaia.

There is no avoiding the fact that the hotel is on the main road between lake Como and lake lugano, and is used by locals travelling back and forth for work as 'frontaliers'. It is also used by many motorcyclists whose relish the winding roads and making as much noise as possible. Whilst we had booked a room with a 'garden view', and so were not directly facing the main road, the noise from passing traffic was still intrusive and sleep disturbing. At the very least the hotel could make sure ear plugs were available in every room?

It was in a nice and quiet location, the decor was calming and relaxing. The breakfast and dinner service was excellent. Uanna went above and beyond to assist in our requests, she made us feel like family.

The location is too far for tourists who don’t have a car who wanted to explore.

Lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble. Food in restaurant was great and good choice at breakfast buffet. Nice setting up in the hills, close to Argegno. Swimming pool was a bonus as very hot. Nice garden. Good starting point for trips to Lake Como and Lake Lugano. Other interesting restaurants short car journey away. Good sized character accommodation. Will come back.

AC would have been great as it was super hot but we knew no AC prior to arrival. Fans were provided but stronger ones, and one for each sleeping area are needed. Thought minimal self catering would have been possible, but sink and oven locked up. And kettle in room would to nice. Definitely having a car advised to give flexibility - there is a bus - but infrequent.

The food was amazing! Loved the room patio. Pool was tiny but clean. Great service. Garden was pretty.

The property was fantastic. It was all very clean and had a truly authentic feel to it. The pool is lovely and small, very cozy, and has great views of the surrounding valley. The staff are all lovely and really make the effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The restaurant is a must try - some of the best food I’ve had.

The roads getting to the property were a nightmare for a foreign driver.The pillows and bed were also a little hard for our preferences.

A quiet place with good food and very nice staff. Secluded from Como and a more genuine feel, yet close to Como's coastline.

The helpfulness of every member of staff. The decoration and style of what is a beautiful building. And a nice comfy bedroom with large terrace / balcony.

Perhaps an English speaking tv channel if possible would be nice.

The location was superb, private parking on site, the staff was very friendly and the room was really clean. Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from.

Specials that were offered for dinner were excellent, the waiting staff were brilliant - super friendly and helpful, issues that we raised were actioned very quickly, lots of parking available, lovely views of the mountains, hotel is 15m drive from Lake Como

The room, whilst big, was not sound proofed resulting in some noisy evenings hearing motorbikes whizzing up and down, the bed was too hard, the pool was a lot smaller than we thought it was, be wary of the late check in deadline - we missed the deadline and had to find another hotel the first night as our flight was delayed, the breakfast, again there was lots of choice, was the same every day and surprisingly no toaster available, limited options for eating in the area

The three ladies who hosted us were SO helpful and friendly. WOW! They made our lives so easy and were always ready to accommodate our questions and need for advice on the "Things to do in Lake Como". Breakfast was great! The location is magical, nestled between the mountains and a 25-minute bus drive to Lake Como, where you can take the Boat/Ferry for €17 to visit Bellagio and surrounding towns. The dinners we had on two evenings were brilliant - especially as we were far from all the restaurants at the Lake. The House Wine, for €10 for 1 Litre, was delicious. We loved the experience!

If you arrive by car, use your car to drive to the Lake and park in the free white marked parking spaces. Taking the bus is a bit expensive at €10 return, but it is an experience to see the bus driver manoeuvre the large bus around the mountainous corners.

Absolutely beautiful property and with such history and just located in the right place and brilliant size room.
