There isn't much to not like about the place, maybe the toilet seat could have been more rugged but other then that it was perfect.

Location and stuff

Unfortunately, we came back with flea bites and that broke the whole experience at the hotel. We are having serious problems now truing to clean everything. Really disappointing because the rest was fine.

Clean, easy and cheap

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was nice but the location was not easy to find.

The excellent personel, the location in the mountains, the cleanliness, the parking in front of the hotel, the breakfast. Everything!

Nice little independent hotel up in the hills above Lago Maggiore. Very clean and nice room. Good beds, and beautiful views. The breakfast had everything we needed. Very quiet. Short way to sights both in Switzerland and in Italy (at least if you’re using your own car / motorbike). Very nice owners.

It’s a bit difficult to find. But as the host told us. Use Google maps on the last stretch.

Excellent hotel staff and the person in charge is a great person, he helped us a lot in everything, choosing a good restaurant, planning a trip as well, we didn't hesitate to ask him questions, and he was patient and flexible. A different and unique experience

We did not know that the hotel was far from the lake, but indeed with a view, it was our mistake not to notice this detail

Perfect setting and perfect accommodation! Not too close to the bustling Luino, just high up enough to be private, quiet, and convenient. The owner met us close to closing time and was very helpful with our plans for the next day and even offered us bar service despite closing the bar earlier. Super comfortable beds, breakfast was very nice, and an overall great stay.

Hotel Montegrino is located at a wonderful place in a calm environment with a spectacular view. The manager is super friendly and helpful.

The location in the middle of nowhere (Kind of) was truly magnificent.The included breakfast was also nice. Not a huge choice, but for the price it was remarkable. .

Nothing worth of note. It was early May, and it was a bit cold. No heating in my room. But it's mostly a question of clothes.

Disappointed about breakfast. Not asked what we would have liked. Food waiting on our table for who knows how long, until we came. Egg was hardboiled and cold. Had to ask for coffee, for every cup. By the time the requested milk arrived Coffee was cold.

The hotel is on top of a hill and there is panorama of Lago Maggiore.Surrounded by the green is a very quiet area.Parking in front of the building.Nice room and good breakfast.Staff is super friendly.

We weren't very lucky with the weather and couldn't appreciate the view of the lake. But we were lucky with the accommodation, there were not many guests and we were given special attention. We were upgraded. The breakfast was very good, even too good for the two of us) The room was clean and cleaned despite the fact that we stayed for 2 nights. Thank you very much!

Very nice family owned Hotel in amazing quiet location. clean rooms and good breakfast and service. Pet friendly and free parking. Nice garden area. Good value for money.

The rooms have pretty thin walls and doors, so you hear quite a lot of stuff going on in the neighbouring rooms and from the hallway. if you are noise/sound sensitive maybe bring earplugs, otherwise it is manageable. you can still sleep and relax, if you are not too sensitive.
