Cons -
- The hotel has no own parking. You have to look for a parking at a nearby location, if you are lucky and get a parking space, it can be for free. Do not be discouraged by the signs pointing you to the hotel reception, there is none, you simply have to go to the bar and check in there. We could enter our room on a third try, the magnetic card did not work before. Despite some of the decor at the entry to the hotel, which might give the idea that the hotel serves also to people who only want to stay a few hours, it is a normal hotel, just not very quiet. We were lucky to hear only some coughs, sneezes and an elderly couple talking quietly in the room next to us and just one dog bark. On the date of departure, we were woken up by the cleaning lady, who entered our room (what for?) at about 9.20am (check out at noon). But we soon learnt, from the questions that she asked other guests and which we heard as if she was in our room, that she just wanted to know when we leave. BTW, the info about the hotel at booking.com does not specify from when you can book, this should be changed by the hotel. Like this I learnt that the reason why the magnetic card to our room did not work was because we came in too early (no reason given for why the card did not work on the second try either). The staff is not very friendly
- I am not a fan of carpet but it was fine
- Unfortunately when the new owners took over this hotel all the kettles in the rooms all disappeared. However, I have been assured by the owners that will be rectified when they update the rooms in due course.

It was great to see that these new owners are working exceedingly hard to try and amend and correct, what the previous owners who were totally clueless in running this hotel. I have been staying at this hotel since it first opened, on business and pleasure. It was also great to see that Tom was back working for this hotel again, as his attention to detail & service is reflecting through to the new members of staff in the restruant. The food was also back to its original quality and it was great to see the locals back enjoying the ambience of the Brasserie. There was also a marked improvement in the cleanliness of the bedrooms & bathrooms.

The kindness of the staff members
The sound insulation is very bad. If you stay in 210 it is like you are in the same room with next door room guests.
Bad
I have been charged twice. On reception noobody have time to solve it during our trip. No reply to email. I want my money back!
Town centre location but no real noise or other inconveniences, one way street but traffic minimal. Big, airy room with more than enough room for 2, large bathroom and desk, chairs, etc. Seemed very clean and rooms were quiet enough. Lift access was good. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and day/evening dining just as good, outside area was great for the good weather.
I wasn't keen on the digital room key as you had to open the email every time to get in. No dedicated parking and difficult on streets. Free in the town square but this gets full during the day, cobbled streets/brickwork not the best for pull along luggage, especially in the rain.
Beautiful property right in the middle of the town . Fantastic restaurant Fantastic food !! Very attentive staff
The bedroom was a disappointment as the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable . The hotel had not long been taken over by the current owners who I spoke to and they are going to address the bedding issues.
Breakfast good; the option of warm water might be considered; scrambled egg could have been more professional.
Table lamp needed a bulb
The property is central and a lot of facilities around . Like the quiet and relax surrounding. Spacious rooms One tip if there was an airconditioning I would give a ten.
I like the way the design and styling .
It really fit the wibe of the city. I liked that it was close to the church, very peaceful. It was cosy, beds were soft. Good location, very friendly staff.
I guess I came too late for the breakfast so most of the things were already eaten ?
The breakfast is delicious, the room is nice and cozy, the bed is very comfortable and the hotel itself is in a very people friendly area since it is in a town center.
Clean. Everything in a good condition, high ceilings. And located in the Center of the town. There is a storage room for bicycles with plenty of space. And last but not least: breakfast is pretty good. You have selection of cheese, meat, cereals, a bit of bakery, omelette and boiled eggs, juice tee coffee. Nothing to add more - simple but that’s what we wanted.
Staff are friendly with good service
Poor management. Room 107 was unfit for service yet management put up for stay.
The staff at this hotel are amazing they cannot do enough for you, they are all very dedicated to their job and want you to enjoy your stay in Bree.
Firstly the fabulous breakfast which I have had for many years, now does not exist. At no time did I received any email before my arrival, pointing out these changes from the owners!!! However, if you are local and you phone up to have a breakfast, you will receive the fabulous breakfast which includes egg & bacon. On Sunday & Monday there was not even any hard-boiled eggs, as supposedly they had run out, However, if you are were a local this did not apply!!! These new owners are running the staff ragged and not being fare with them or their guests. For an example they have a reception but there is no one manning the reception, you have to go to the bar and one of the staff will checked you in. On many occasions during our stay we saw people going to reception which is closed and then standing outside not knowing what to do. I wanted to speak to the owners regarding the above before leaving, but once again the reception was shut. However, they still have the neon lighting for reception on. The most disgusting thing of our stay, we court the owner in the reflection of the glass watching porn in the restaurant. This is not great when they have children staying there. I have stayed at this hotel over the passed 20 years and the staff know me really well so to receive this email back I can only say it shows the sort of new owners they are. They would rather watch porn than help their staff or serve customers and leave them standing on the street. We have Friends that live in Bree and they have all complained about the new owners, Kim Clijsters has a local Tennis club and they were always in the on a Sunday for Breakfast and noticed this time they were not there. It was carnival weekend and it is normally packed however not this year.!
Hotel bar & restaurant has good character, friendly staff & very popular with locals in a great central location.
No draft beer only bottled beer available, although the selection of bottled beer was very good.
Breakfast was good, a nice selection. Location was central in Bree.
I was only there briefly, everything was fine.
everythink was perfect, foods, rooms, position of hotel exactly on the centrum near by the shops , restaurants and banks
all was perfect, no complains
Very nice team to welcome us. Very valuable information shared. Something to highlight !The hotel has a good restaurant and many parking lots in the area.
We just have to know that on friday morning, there is a town market so cars must be parked somewhere else. Very good assistance and advises from the hotel crew.
BAD EXPERIENCE !!!!
i dont know why there’s a lot of good review here. the staff are totally not helpful. me and my heavily pregnant sister with 1 kid 2 years old and our room got a hole at the door which is not safety at all. people from outside can clearly see us through the hole. when we complain the guy staff said they dont have other room to change and we can leave if we dont like it and they will refund the money. how can you ask us to leave when we have kid with us and its at night how is that possible to get another hotel ? and in the morning our car get towed for the morning market. we are foreigner of course we dont know there is a morning market at the carpark area. the hotel didnt even care to let us know that we cannot park there or warned us about tue morning market the next day. and for the breakfast, when we ask teh staff to refill the orange juice they even make a black face to us. i tell you totally not worth it to stay here. such a bad experience. definitely wont comeback .
