- We arrived after check-in had closed but the owner very kindly came to check us in despite it being late at night. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fine too.
- Comfortable, quiet and spacious room, kettle and free tea, coffee, water. Window didn’t close well. Breakfast is ok but pretty basic.
- The staff on duty in the evenings were friendly & helpful and the food in the restaurant was great. Room was basic but clean & comfortable with a good shower. A nice touch was the kettle & tea/coffee making in the room. Made our dog very welcome both in the room and the restaurant although we did take our own covers for the bed so the dog did not sleep on the hotel bed linen. Parking was very good.
Cons -
- Only a minor thing but the towels in the room were very worn
- The young lady serving breakfast on Thursday and Saturday was not friendly and on Thursday, although we had specified a time for breakfast, she had cleared all breakfast items away and clearly had an attitude problem. On Saturday evening there was a private birthday party at the hotel so we could not eat in the restaurant, but we were not advised of this in advance. The party continued noisily until 2am and the clean up was noisy till 4am. No sleep prior to our 7am departure and long journey home!!
- Too soft bed

Very nice personnel.Surprisingly good restaurant.
Too soft bed
Clean beds and bathroom with WiFi that worked well. Breakfast was decent and included in the price. Rooms are quiet and hotel is located right next to the train station. Nothing too special, but was comfortable and a good value.
Water pressure in the shower was nonexistent
Nice country hotel near-ish the A40. Free parking and free breakfast. Good beer garden and restaurant. All at a very competitive price.
The bedroom pillows are soft and limp.
All staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The food from the restaurant was excellent: a really lovely place to eat.
The shower in our room wasn't worth using; very low water pressure and no hot water.
The bed was ok but pillows were too soft, the staff were friendly when getting the key and for breakfast, plus there was a party in the bar area on the Saturday evening which they said we could join in, we had a walk around Nuekerken and nice pretty extremely clean area
Curtains and net curtains have a few holes in, the pillows are too soft, the church clock chimes every 15 minutes and in the morning the cockerel made himself known but other than these small things it was ok for the one night
Nice breakfast and good located in a lovely town.
Needs some upgrade.
The staff answered all of our questions and accommodated our special requests. Family run business with a an excellent regional kitchen, good parking lot and direct on the train line to Weeze ( Parookaville). We hope to come again next year!
One of the beds needed to be updated... leather was worn on the side from people sitting on the edge. Also no 'AC (Klima) .. we could have used a fan.
Staff
Fruit flies coming out from the breakfast buffet and common house flies hovering around in the bar area worse than sitting outside in the garden on a sunny day next to a farm. A fly killer unit might do wonders there.
Convenient, clean rooms, quiet.
Good value country hotel in the lovely town of Kerken near the Dutch German border. Lovely beer garden and very good food and drink. Breakfast included. Tea coffee in the room. Have stayed a few times now when we drive across Europe. Free carpark.
If you like your tea best to take your own tea bags. Pillows too soft.
Friendly staff and great restaurant.
Restaurant closed for 2 of the 3 days of my stay and I don’t know in advance. The pillow was poor, but luckily I carry one of my own.
Früstuck. Restaurant
Beds
breakfast was okay but limited Room basic and comfortable
Breakfast could have had more selection and healthier options. The room was basic but fine but I feel it will need to modernise or redecorate as it seems tired. Very clean. The restaurant was closed on that day and I wasn't notified before going there.
Great location, nice staff, clean.
People should know that some rooms can be two floors up. Ok for us but maybe difficult if one has more luggage.
Staff was very forthcoming and breakfast was great.Special kudos to the zander filet.
Room was a bit outdated and there was no sitting area in the room although the room was big and could easily accommodate a sofa and/or a couple of chairs. It was hot, but so was everywhere else.
Lovely local hotel with inside and outside restaurant/ beer garden. Good beer and excellent house white wine. Schnitzel is very good. Near the A40.
Pillows too flat and soft. Otherwise all good.
Nice place, great breakfast, clean room
I have been charged twice for this reservation.Despite I have already paid trough the booking.com I been asked to pay again on the day when I was checking out. The hotel personnel didn't speak English well so there wasn't any way to explain to them that the reservation has already been paid.
