Pros +
- The town was wonderful. Great location. Lovely grounds. Excellent secure underground parking with racks to lock up our bicycles. The breakfast had so many fresh options! Many baths, saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, and lawns.
- 3 days of relaxation, great food and friendly stuff. Wellness area was clean, cosy and had a soothing atmosphere. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I like the towel & not cleaning policy particularly because a card in the room explains how much water and detergent is saved by not changing the towels every day.
- Pleasant enough, bistro food was healthy and tasty. The staff was friendly.
Cons -
- There were no signs in English, and we weren’t allowed to have our phones, so we made mistakes (all instruction & warning signs were only in German). The entry claimed there always air conditioning but it was only in common areas, not the rooms.
- Although the buildings are non-smoking, I was utterly surprised by the broad presence of ash trays in the outdoor areas which were also used a lot, even on all terras tables of the wellness bistro. I was particularly annoyed by the fact that we couldn’t use our balcony during our stay neither for sitting outside nor for hanging out our clothes due to chain-smoking neighbors. While I don’t expect banishing smoking completely, I would suggest some reorganization.
- The spa was lovely but I didn’t understand that it was a naked spa and so I was unable to use all the facilities. I wish this was explained in checkin. Unfortunately there was a language barrier, not their fault obviously but it would have been nice if this was made obvious on the website where there was an English version. The beds were uncomfortable and clearly 2 singles pushed together so a gap in the middle forms nightly which makes it worse. The food, a buffet only through out our stay was not very good. Breakfast again was not good. You have to ask for the rooms to be cleaned, not a fan of this. I think it’s important even if the guest doesn’t ask for them to check every couple days. We ran out of toilet paper and I had to chase someone a couple of times to get some. Also no aircon and there was a hot weather warning whilst we were there. No one came to make sure we had water. Had to keep balcony doors open to keep cool and bugs everywhere. Noisy too because the railway was 24 hours and nest to the hotel.

Fantastic wellness where the outdoor pool is located, so be aware it's a naked areaRoom size quite bigFan in the room
Smell of the room and the boxspring
Location, facilities, breakfast is good, price, staff are friendly.
I checked in fine, had a nice evening, only to be disturbed by someone else later that evening who had been given the same room and key as me! This shouldn’t happen. I was in bed when another guest unlocked my door and entered my room, unexpectedly. I was disturbed 10 minutes later as well by a loud knock on the door, presumably this person was a friend of the man who previously entered my room. It was not the other guests fault, unfortunately the reception staff must’ve checked the other guest into my hotel room and given them a key. Both men were very apologetic and left immediately, but it was an awkward situation that obviously disturbed me at the time. Perhaps and hopefully this was a one off and unlucky error.
Very much liked the Spa area and the generous space in the overall hotel. Breakfast was quite satisfying.
A bit expensive for such location; could hear the train and traffic at night. No slippers in the room for the Spa, no espresso or tea in the room for further convenience. Internet/wifi was quite slow.
Pleasant
There was no air conditioning, and no blinds, the big windows created a sauna atmosphere in the room.
Quiet hotel in a forest with lots of parking places. Clean and spacious rooms, good bed and bathrobe provided. there was also a basket in case one wants to go to the sauna.for dinner there was the choice à la carte or using the buffet which offered enough choice.Friendly staff providing very quick check-in and check-out.
There was no possibility to charge an electric car.Parking close to the forest during fall results in a lot of leaves everywhere, resulting in having the car covered with leaves during the morning.
the services an spa options
it’s a bit outdated and no airco, which was not good on the days of our stay. temperature was over 30.
Very relaxing, helpful staff, spacious hotel/spa. Lot's of saunas/pools/treatments. Large nudist area.
Trains running though the woods next to the hotel (especially disturbing if you're sleeping with open door/window or laying on the nude pool). Food in the restaurant far too pricey for the quality. Design from the 90s in restaurant. No garbage cans around lot's of places. Prices a bit too high for 'room+breakfast'-only.
Rooms comfortable - charming location
No iron or ironing boards in the room.
Spa Facilities was amazing.
Excellent service. Good vegan food.
Not happy with the stay as the rate was higher and the standard was low
The room quality was not up the standard as per the rate. The quality was well below the standard. I have to many places in other countries. With this rate, the room standard is lot better else.
