Hotel-Restaurant Haus Waldesruh

Pros +

• The beds were comfy if a bit creaky, Our duvets nice and fluffy and just warm enough. At our request they also provided blankets which were used to great effect for keeping our toes warm :) Our room was surprisingly big and for german tastes reasonably modern. The bathroom was clean and had all the amenaties you'd expect. Breakfast was good. Coffee was brought straight to the table, the eggs were warm and the bread fresh, what else could you want? The staff was very friendly and patient with our struggle speaking german :) I also loved the location of the hotel. It's just on the edge of the forrest, and only a short 2-3 minute drive away from the town centre. Perfect for going on a walk or going bicycling in nature without having to travel too far either way.

Cons -

• The walls are fairly thin, we could hear our neighbours talk/watch TV. Both while they were in the hallway and our immediate rooms neighbours. Also while it wasn't much of a problem for us, the staff exclusively speaks german which I feel is worth mentioning.
