Pros +
- Beautiful building, lovely setting, and has the potential to be deluxe comfort and a super-stylish hotel. The check-in receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were good.
- Ideal location. Easy walking to all places of interest.
- Very comfortable bed. Spacious light room. Excellent and varied breakfast.
Cons -
- The decor is all a little tired looking throughout the hotel; the room was noisy at night (no soundproofing); there was no kettle (and the member of staff seemed put out, and surprised that we should want one!); NO heat in the bathroom (in January, that is not nice). Over-priced for what it is. Except for the first receptionist, the staff all seemed a bit down, lacking enthusiasm.
- Security safe was not fixed in position. Breakfast (taken once) was good but expensive at 33 euros a head. The bathroom had no heating and the air extractor did not work.
- Unable to open windows for fresh air. Shower curtain rather than a screen.
