Tenahead Lodge & Spa

Our room was so comfortable and had the most amazing view over the river and mountains. The food was really top class. It was a memorable experience and I would recommend Tenahead for a mountain getaway.

We knew the pass up to Tenahead turnoff would be bad, but actually the road off to Tenahead is even worse than the pass. It would create a better experience if the resort repaired their own road. Some of the boulders which need to be traversed were huge and it made for an unpleasant ride.

Spectacular setting in the mountains! Friendly staff go the extra mile… Wonderful hosts, Jean-Marie & Franco! Food was amazing! Such a peaceful stay… Room’s view was just wowwwww and fireplace lit in the room…

Perhaps there could be a little more outside seating areas for summer days.

Amazing views from everywhere. There are plenty of walking paths and it is very safe. Jeanne-Mari and Franco were fantastic hosts and went over and above. Grace in the spa is also a real gem. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Dinners were also great. You cannot go wrong with this lodge.

Some small things were not working in the room, but easily fixable. We will be back.

The steps leading to the Spa are difficult to navigate

A jewel on the top of a mountain with the most beautiful view from the room and bathroom through big windows. The room and bed were very comfortable, clean, and beautifully furnished.The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and kind. We will come back to Tenahead to spend more time in this lovely place

Relaxing plus hiking plus views

Spectacular setting! The stone lodge is beautiful, the bedrooms are spacious with wonderful views and the communal lounges are comfy with warming fireplaces. The food was well done. A great place for adventurous travelers and those seeking a remote holiday in the mountains. A 4x4 is essential as the roads in the area and to the lodge are very rough. The staff were friendly and service was excellent.

The rooms are cold even in November. There is a big gas heater and a fireplace which is made up and lit for you every afternoon. But the concrete floors and bathroom could do with some rugs.

Exceptional location and excellent meals

Only suggestion would be to put a carpet/rug in the bedrooms. The floors were freezing

Fantastic location, beautiful facilities, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Peaceful surroundings, unique plant and bird life. We were made to feel right at home.

There will still snow all the way up the mountain. Warm welcome by Jean-Marie and Franco (managers). Food excellent, rooms with beautiful views. Staff friendly and attentive at all times.

The location is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the Bell River and the country side! The lodge in itself is magnificent! There is so much detail everywhere! The manager Juan-Mari is an absolute gem. She and her husband Franco is giving it their all. 120%. Friendly, helpful and just overall beautiful people! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The dinner was absolutely fantastic! We spent the night at the Lodge for our wedding anniversary and the staff made it extra special with NO extra cost. There is absolutely nothing that I can complain about! The overall feeling of the place is awesome. So tranquil, warm and an out of this world feel. They even lit the fireplace in our room for us!

Tenahead comes out tops on our extensive road trip. Beautiful place in beautiful setting. Comfort is the priority there and the food exceptional, fine dining at it;s best. The fires in our rooms and the warm beds were greatly appreciated. Loved this place.

A stunning location for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. 5 course dinners, lovely breakfasts and superb staff made this a very memorable long weekend. High ground clearance vehicle required and 4x4 highly recommended.

One of the desserts didn't meet the high standards of all the other meals we enjoyed.And WiFi access was only available in the lounge area. We couldn't pick up WiFi in our room.

The view & silence. Also the staff was very friendly. Excellent food and cosy & warm fire place.

The road to the lodge was heavy, but also fun. You definitely need a 4x4.
