Easy to get to across from the train station. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

Great Stay at City Hotel Winschoten!We had a very pleasant experience staying at City Hotel Winschoten. The location is perfect — right in the heart of town, just a short walk from the train station, shops, and restaurants. It’s a convenient base whether you’re visiting for business or exploring the area.The room was clean, quiet, and well-organized, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable, which was a big plus.What stood out most was the warm and friendly service. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help with anything we needed.Breakfast was simple but fresh, with enough variety to start the day well. Overall, City Hotel Winschoten offers great value and comfort. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel has a cosy atmosphere. Breakfast is perfectly arranged, they ask everyone personally if you want a baked egg/bacon combination (or just baked eggs). Furthermore: enough sockets available to charge your mobile telephone, tablet or other stuff (much better than in an average hotel).Friendly personnel! ?

The hotel room was a bit outdated, but maybe others are more modern, but so far not bad. The shower water was not located in the bath tub, but next to it, in the open area of the bathroom, thus shower water goes via the bathroom floor. Where the shower in the bath tub is more comfortable, when the bathroom floor stays dry. Last but not least, the room + bath room was clean! And that is most important. Thus finally, hereby still a good review and stars from my side.

The hotel room was large and spotlessly clean. Good sized bathroom with a bathtub also. I really liked that there were so many plug points in the room to charge our devices. Also the refrigerator and safe were a bonus.

Great location near town centre, and across road from train station, as well as great takeaway shop next door!! Staff were extremely helpful and courteous . Have stayed here a number of times, and feels like home-away from home!

Not much to dislike, other than it is a dated facility - considering it was built originally pre ww2. Shower water temperatures also fluctuated…. But considering what we paid it was still good vallue

Karin and her husband run a relaxed friendly hotel and ensured we were made welcome and ansered any questions about the area we had.

Ideally the on site restaurant would have had a chef so we could have given it some business but plenty of other restaurants very close by.

Attentive hosts in a relaxed close to town center location with free under ground parking.

Friendly family run hotel close to all Winschotens amenities.

I think, Thanksfully to the administrator, There were no neighbours in this room throughout the entire stay. They also take care of refugees.

There were no garbage packets in room trash can.

Lovely hotel in the middle of Winschoten with excellent staff and a super breakfast

Very friendly staff, nice breakfast. There is a parking space underneath the building which felt better than having to park on a street. The bed area was clean and the bed was comfortable enough.

Room does feel a little cramped, especially the bathroom, it feels just a little too scarce and cheap for the price. There's a kettle in the room but only one awkward tap in the bathroom with low water pressure. Traces of mildew in the shower.

It was clean and had friendly staff. Good breakfast, good location.

The best welcome we could have wished for after cycling across country in the heat. Friendly and helpful hotel owner and a real family hotel feel. Great location by the station and only a short walk to the centre of the town.

Unpretentious, clean, friendly, low-key. Great value. Very clean floor in room.

Watch out, hot water is scalding hot.

Lots of choices. Freshly cooked egg and bacon was really good and made to my preference.

Shower had excellent pressure and temperature but would love a tub as an option. No wash cloth with towels.

The only reasonable hotel for a short stay in Winschoten. Located in the city center, across the station. Free parking.

Hotel and rooms need some refurbishment.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were exceptionally comfortable.
