Hotel Antares

A reasonably nice hotel for business travelling, but also convenient for the middle of Oldenburg city for some sightseeing and shopping. The room was reasonably well appointed with towels, a fridge, desk, etc.The morning continental breakfast was very good with good, wide choice and flavours, and one was free to come and go as one pleased without being rushed.

Nothing really to mention, other than a few light bulbs throughout the bedroom/bathroom weren’t working. Do be aware that the staff working hours are quite short and that no one is readily available outside of those times.

Convenient location, good breakfast. On site storage for bicycle acceptable but could be better.

Shower over the bathtub is a potential slip hazard.

Parking ground was easy to reach, with car and walking too and from the vehicle.The location is close to the city center

the room was noisy from outside, the window (room 305) does not close in the upper right edge. You loose heat and gain noise from outside.I was lucky not to arrive at a closed door, just some minutes before the clerk left. He called me and wanted to explain to me where to get the key after he is away. He leaft at 22h. Fortunaley I arrived 5 to ten.

Friendly staff, location was very good aswell and you had lots of parking spaces.

The bathroom was very dirty, there were all sort of spots, dont know what it was, there was hair on the ground en the showerhead was very dirty aswell… Behind the bed and television was a lot of dust. Some of the food was already expired. I advise you check the dates.

Breakfast

The WiFi signal was very bad/low.Room service is atrocious. In 5 days my bedding sheets and towels haven't been changed once.The fridge wasn't working.Why narrow beds instead of 1 but big?No staff at the reception in the morning. No one replies the phone.

The breakfast spread was absolutely outstanding.Good location: Right next to inner city, museums, etc.

No air conditioning, but ventilation through open windows worked.

Location - 10/10 it is near the city center and public transportations, very accessible.Room- 9/10 old fashioned but clean and comfortable . With a big window with a city view.Bathroom- 8/10 no bathtub but the shower is good. Spacious and clean. The toiletries is only a bottle of shower gel (3in1) . No toothpaste and toothbrush ?.Internet- 5/10 slowBreakfast- 9/10 I enjoyed my breakfast buffet. There’s a variety of choices.Staff- 10/10 nice and accommodating. Price- 8/10 not expensive and it is a good deal.

Shoe Cleaner was good and the view by window was excellent

I didn't like that the check in times are fixed. I traveled by train, and arrived there at 6:30 am, and had to wait until 14:30 for my check in, which was really tiring. Also there is no place where you can leave your bags, so the last day I also waited for hours in the lobby, until the time came to go to the train station. Everything else was just fine.

Very good hotel at affordable price. Offers good free parking. Very good breakfeast. Very good location.

The reception worker was super duper nice by staying after her shift ended waiting for me, because my train was delayed. The breakfast was nice too, and the location is unbeatable, close to the train station. Some people will find the decoration a bit outdated, but for me it was fun, like a trip travel in time back to the 80's. I would recommend for a few nights or a business trip.

Very good location . All main attractions within walking distance. Surprisingly quiet. Good breakfast. Very helpful & friendly staff.

Bicycle parking was not secure.
