- Nice person at the front desk. Clean.
- Staff is very friendly and helpful - they changed our room from front to back in 1 day. Provided a little fridge in the room and helped with storage of my bicycle. This hotel is cheap, in a great location and provides real good value for money.
- Best risotto I have ever had!Great breakfast with delicious yoghourt, pastries and cheese.Very friendly staff.
Cons -
- Very old fasion place to the point of scary. Exloaded location, no other guest or houses around...
- Keeping in mind that this is a 'budget' hotel, the food is not quite up too modern standards. Both breakfast and evening cuisine. Then again, I'm not a big breakfast person, and the pizza's are fine and the pasta was too. Fish and meat you should order perhaps elsewhere.
- Booked a room with terrace and view, but none was available when I checked in.The corridor is quite noisy with bad acoustic and doors closing.

Welcoming family/host. If one enjoys a quiet experience near a mountain, it is highly recommended. We went with our kids and took a walk in the woods behind the hotel. The view was exceptionally beautiful. We were happy with everything.
Really friendly staff, delicious dinner in the restaurant, good breakfast with nice coffee. Hotel in lovely location and easy drive to the lakes. Rooms spacious with balcony. We loved the quirky, retro decor. Not a modern hotel, but lots of charm. Would recommend.
The staff were excellent. The bedroom was comfortable and clean
Would have liked a guest lounge with comfortable chairs
The staff go above and beyond. The hotel is about 900m high. Which means that even though even North Italy gets very hot in the summer often, you don't need aircon as the air is cooler up there. Also there were hardly of any mosquitos which is an added bonus as warm places like Italy, especially in summer have a mosquito issue. There is no malaria though in Italy
I loved it. I would be concerned in winter as the roads could be icy. Italian winter is short so I would avoid December to February. March to November is fine.
Nice hotel. The ladies that are working there, really try to make it comfortable for the clients. Food was also good. Wifi connection was a bit low in the room, but it worked fine.
We had a lovely stay at this charming and rustic hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and kind, the facilities were very clean and tidy. The breakfast was extensive and amazing, lots to choose from. The food in the restaurant was also delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely come back again.
Oh my, this hotel was superb, i love the rustic décor, wooden furniture, antiques. Staff was brilliant, Ellie was fantastic and she spoke English, the other staff members did not speak much English, but it didn't matter, body language did the trick. everyone was nice, i felt like home. Property was clean, good size swimming pool - water cleaned every day. Breakfast was fabulous, the croissants, the fresh juice, local cheese, it was heaven. I never seen my 5 year old eating so much for breakfast :) the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you need a car if you want to explore lakes and mountains, unless you are on holidays to be far away from civilization n the forest within the mountains. i loved it, it was quiet and astonishing views. Also because of the hotel being in the woods he heat did not bother us so much. they allow pets and they have 2 pet turtles.
The only thing it could improve is to add more vegetarian option to the menu (although the bruschetta and pizza was delightful :) it could be nice to have more choice. And maybe add children menu.
Fantastic mnt biking around, but they had no info, maps, or anything available.Rabit stew was delicious ?
Breakfast was good. Started a bit late. Couldnt even get a coffee before 8am. But was worth the wait. The coffee was real (not Nescafe poison) and there was no limit of number of cups. All were freshly made from the machine .. not self pour. There were freshly made croisants and other bits. The staff were good. The outside terrace ws very nice. The pool was big. The whole place was relaxe and tranquil. There were some decent hikes straight from the hotel door. the place we stayed after this cost almost double this place but we enjoyed this place more.
Stsrt breakfast at 7am, at least for coffee, for early risers who want to do a walk.
Fantastic place to stay on our way to Switzerland. the hotel is one out of the olden days and has been left like that. but super clean and has a modern touch, I.e. the beds look old but are actually plastic. Quite funny actually. Fantastic spot and nice terrace. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Felt at home straight away. Nice food, basic but good value for money. Fantastic tiramisu and very funny staff..... pool is lovely, breakfast is great. What more can I say. This is definitely one to return to!!
It is in a quite neighborhood with chirping birds. Staff were friendly.
Breakfast varieties are limited, mostly sweet.
Extremely responsive staff. In the evening there was a rather noisy company in the restaurant, but the staff immediately moved us to the other hall. They have excellent cuisine and good wine, but breakfast was only sweet things. In the rooms, the furniture is quite old and You can hear everything from the other rooms
стари мебели, няма хладилник
Lovely , helpful, lady hostess who gave us excellent tips to enjoy our travels in the surrounding area and spoilt us at meal times making our stay most enjoyable.Nothing seemed too much trouble.
Big Beautiful Casona (Looks Like a Big House) Extremely Peaceful.
Not having a TV in my room….. but didn’t bothered me that much.!!!
I loved the remote location. Very scenic. You need a car to get here as ot is off the beaten track but we'll worth the visit and exceptional value for money. We were there in mid September and availed of the out door pool and although it was cold it was very refreshing and a great way to get sorted after a late night. Ellie and her compatriots ate very accomodatating and the food in the restaurant is excellent.
Amazing hotel. So peaceful and quiet. Great location, in the middle of nothing. But close to an amazing lake Orta. Delicious croissants for the breakfast and coffee. Swimming pool with mountain-cold water. Great dinner in the hotel restaurant. Big parking. Very helpful host Eni. Wow!!!
Maybe lack of AC...
