    Pros +

    • Breakfast was ok/average for this kind of hotelLocation was close to the wedding venue I was attending which is why I chose itStaff helped me with taxi from train station as I did not know there would be none
    • Quite.Conad nearby.Good breakfast. Especially tasty bread.
    • Breakfast was good, considering that in Italy breakfast normally means just a cappuccino and a croissant. Staff was great: we reported some smoke smell in the bathroom of our non-smoking room (I didn't want to risk being charged for something we didn't do), and when we came back in the evening they had taken care of it. My guess is that they changed the bathroom curtain. The hotel is also one of the cleanest I've stayed in anywhere in the world, and the gated parking lot is good to have, as the hotel is in an industrial and shopping area where I have never felt too comfortable leaving a car at night in the public parking lot.

    Cons -

    • The room was super small I asked for single but didn't realize it wud be so smallThe staff were not super friendly tbhAlthough they did assist with sending me a taxi wen I was stranded at the train station
    • The coffee machine in the breakfast room needs updating: the coffee is undrinkable. The furniture is also dated: it looks like it is still from 25 years ago when the hotel first opened (though it still has the original high-end touch to it, like cable holes in the side tables that allow you to place your phone on top and plug it into the outlet below without stretching the cord).
    • We've asked for a room with two beds(of course, we were informed - subject to availability - fine!); we've got a room with a double-bed, which, in the second day, was split in two small single beds (to respond our request), but the only blanket in the room, that was extremely useful in the first night - dissapeared... thus, we've learned our lesson, better a double bed than a double-bed "cut in half" for two singlesTo have a fair value for money, breakfast should be included in the fare that we've paid. Otherwise, 10€/person/day is too much to make the place priced fairly...

Decent hotel, pretty clean, good wifi, good parking conditions, good location. We've done our job with what we've get, but nothing more as comfort or pleasure of spending time there.

We've asked for a room with two beds(of course, we were informed - subject to availability - fine!); we've got a room with a double-bed, which, in the second day, was split in two small single beds (to respond our request), but the only blanket in the room, that was extremely useful in the first night - dissapeared... thus, we've learned our lesson, better a double bed than a double-bed "cut in half" for two singlesTo have a fair value for money, breakfast should be included in the fare that we've paid. The hotel is closed by to my brothers house

The lady receptionist took our passport which I haven't experienced before. I travelled a lot and I was worried. Maybe the hotel had no copying or Xerox machine.

    Friendly staff

Scruffy area. Never felt that the car park was safe.

The staff in the hotel is present 24/7 and is super welcoming, really nice, patient with our requests and trying their best to resolve any issues. I was really pleased! That quality of service elevate the entire hotel experience, in my opinion. I want to thank the staff again for their kindness and help. The rooms are comfortable even if the interior design of my room feels like it needs a little renovation or refreshment (check the photos, I am not too critical about this but some people are so...). I slept quite well to be honest, no problem as the room have air conditionning system really efficient. There is also convenience around as, for example, the shopping mall is just accross the street.Basically, all services I can think of were there. Just a note that to iron a shirt, the iron and table are not in the room but you can ask reception and they will show you were it is.Excellent value for money!

The main and biggest issue we had was the commute... We didn't know it would be that difficult to get a taxi to move around. Merate is a small town and the taxis are coming from either Como, Milan city or Bergamo, so you need to book in advance and prices are quite high. Please do consider renting a car as the hotel does not have there own cars or drivers. And another thing I felt was a bit off was the shower curtain. Even if feeling a bit dated, the facilities, bed sheets and shower towels were all super clean and in great condition. So I was a bit surprised that the shower cutain was not reaching the same standards. It felt like it has made his time and need to be changed. But again, overall, great experience and excellent value for money. I recommend if you can rent a car to move around.

The room was clean and spacious. It is possible with a dog.

€10 dog fee which is the biggest I have ever experienced and you don't know it in advance so then you have no choice.

I liked the location and the restaurants near the location.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was way too hard, like sleeping on the floor.

    9AbrePosted on: 4-27-2024

A better than expected experience. If you have a car then it is a good choice. It was actually nice to find a hotel with old fashioned room keys! I will stay here again. There is a nice "gelateria" next to the hotel that also offers a small, typical Italian breakfast. A shopping center is across the road for any last minute purchases before you fly out of Milan!

I liked everything. Essential to have a car.

    8LuigiPosted on: 4-6-2024

The location was right the location I needed, with free available parking outside. Breakfast wasn't included but reasonably priced (€10)

The shower facilities were a bit run down, with loose handles.

    8AnthonyPosted on: 12-18-2023

Location was good for where i needed to work at, close to a decent size shopping mall with various amenities, and a pub/bar downstairs

the decor was a little bit dated, and no cooked / hot breakfast

Clean, nice stuff, fair price, always someone available during the night.Closed parking,

Location was very easy to find, Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was substantial and very good

I enjoyed the stay and staff was very polite and helpful

Very fun and spacious room/bathroom with everything you need. Downstairs are some places to get something to eat.

Took us a minute to find out how to use the window blinds but we managed.

    9AbrePosted on: 9-11-2023

I booked a single room that was ok with a single bed. Ample working space and ample plugs for all types of devices. You have a shopping center across the road. There is a pizzeria downstairs plus a great ice cream parlour.

Don't expect to be in a typical Italian town with an historical center. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Merate.

    8ArpadPosted on: 8-14-2023

The size of the room was great. Biggest I ever had. Hotel was near Milan and also Como/Lugano lake. Short drive / train for both location. Breakfast was great. There is a bar nearby that also served great food.

Nothing comes to my mind. For this money it was a great accommodation.

    8NeilPosted on: 8-1-2023

    Clean, friendly, great price.

Rubbish for public transport & taxis had to be booked in advance.

    8FlorencePosted on: 7-29-2023

Convenient location, air conditioning, easy free parking, nice staff, very clean

The walls are not well insulated and the decoration is old style

    Location

The receptionist was not up to par with the administration and reservations.. was insisting on paying extra to go to different room(before that she said they have no rooms anymore, while there were still empty rooms?), while we have paid for what we have reserved.. then found out she made a mistake.. during checkout asking for cash instead of the hold on the credit card..
