    Pros +

    • A shockingly excellent dinner, since we were just holing for a simply good one for a neighborhood restaurant.
    • Really beautiful hotel room! Large and clean and very comfortable! Angel was very accommodating about a late breakfast order and leaving our bags after checking out so that we could go sightseeing. I would have given the hotel a ten, but it was closed on Monday so I didn't get the full experience. It's a hotel that I would gladly go back to!
    • Big and clean rooms in a small nice hotel in the middle of the town close to the train station. Confi beds

    Cons -

    • Only something that couldn't be possible for geographic reasons: On-site Parking for the lazy person. The free parking at the train station was a gentle, short walk away.
    • The restaurant was closed and I would have loved to try it. (I knew ahead that they were closed on Mondays)
    • No elevator, need to climb high stairs.

Very central.Excellent location.Large room.Large bathroom.Very clean.Modern.Quiet.Don't book if you require a lift as there are stairs only.Beautiful old building.

Heating is an air conditioner and has to be turned on to get the room warmed up and then kept on in colder months as rooms in the roof are colder.Have been here twice.Never had breakfast as we were visiting family.

Hidden gem of a hotel - Leerdam is a great little town and this hotel was ideal for an overnight stay. Big room, very comfortable bed and a good breakfast in the morning.

There is no official hotel parking, but the station is a 2 minute walk away. Not an issue for us but worth knowing before you go.

Nice quiet neighbourhood in the middel of town. 5 minutes to parking.

    No onsite parking

Breakfast was nice, more then expected,Staff was friendly. Eating dinner in the restaurant downstairs was a treat.

Cleaning staff asked for my keycard when I was leaving. I expected to have a more formal checkout. Room had windows but none gave a view of the city.

Very nice building, and very cozy inside. The rooms were spacious and very neat.Bathroom was very clean and spacious.

The remote controls for the tv's where not clean. There was dirt between the buttons and it was sticky on the touch.

Getest location. Nicely decorated rooms. Friendly staff

The shower drain was blocked and very dirty. Noise from disco or other kept us awake till 03:00 in the morning

The location was great, right in the center of Leerdam. The staff was really nice and check-in and out went quite efficiently. Room was nice and had a good size.

There was no heating on when I got there - it was the same temperature as outside, around 7-8 degrees. When checking in, I was told to use the aircondition to heat up, but it worked very poorly. I put the aircondition on at max, but it was only after 5 hours that I could sit inside without my winter jacket on. And even then, the bathroom was still ice-cold.

    Great little boutique hotel.

No staff around on the Monday we checked out. But then, this is a very small hotel in a small town. Room 1 is large eith a comfortable big bed.

I had asked the hotel staff if it was possible to get another bed inside the room, so that an unexpected friend could stay aswell! They did this and for that I'm very grateful! Because of this I almost wanted to leave a 5 star review. Furthermore the hotelroom was amazing! I would recommend the hotel for a stay!

Me, my girlfriend and my friend went to the breakfast. The woman that worked the morning shift on Sunday 1st of October met us with some arrogance and sort of pushed us out of the hotel, because she wanted to leave work or so.. She was very rushy and she didn't like it when I asked for new honey.. since the honey they served was old and I couldn't squeeze any honey out of it, because of the clotted sugar. If only the morning staff was less arrogant..

Warm welcome from the staff in the lovely hotel. Room was spotlessly clean, well lit and aircon worked well. Great to have a safe place to lock my bike. Wonderful location in the old town of Leerdam, minutes walk from the glass shops, river and marina. Plenty to see and do right there. Hotel breakfast was ample and dinner was great, suggestions as to what menu items were good, gladly received. Charming old building and great people running it. Planning to go back for another visit with family.

The hotel is located in a pretty historical building overlooking the canal/river. I had booked a single bedroom which was huge and very bright with a great bathroom. The breakfast was also very good and staff were very polite and helpful and I felt right at home.A very nice restaurant is downstairs and in summer you can sit outside on a veranda right by the canal.Location is great as you can explore Leerdam itself (try the Leerdam cheese in one of the local cheese shops) and surroundings.

If you a re a light sleeper: There is a restaurant downstairs and if your room is right above that it can be noisy and staff seems to be living above some of the rooms so you might hear them, too.

This little gem was right in town and the room was clean and spacious. Facilities were excellent. It was a bonus to find that the restaurant on site served delicious food. All staff were friendly and helpful.

The only minor inconvenience was that there is no private parking on site. We were able to unload our bags before using parking only 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

The superlative manager/hostess, Angel, made our stay heavenly. Ever so outgoing, friendly, and helpful, she took time during our scrumptious dinner to shoot the breeze with us. Frankly, Angel and her team of glorious restaurant workers made a lasting impression on us and made our stay absolutely magical. A retired teacher of 35 years, I would award them all top marks! Staying here is a must.

Everything was perfect. Leerdam’s town centre, however, needs “revitalisation.”
