    • I couldn’t lock the door so they’ve changed me to another room, I’ve booked initially a single room and the change was to a twin room.
    • AMAZING stay! Beautiful old buildings set in a stunning forest location, the grounds are gorgeous, with so many different outdoor sitting areas surrounded by complete silence. The bar and restaurant are both top notch, the food was incredible and you can drink Trappist beer on tap, which was such a treat. The staff were all fantastic and super friendly, top notch service all around!
    • Excelent stay bedrooms were fine property is awsome

    Cons -

    • If you want something in the heart of a town or city, or within walking distance of other attractions and things to do, then this won’t be the place for you. It’s a fair way out of town, but for us that was a huge part of the appeal, as we found a few walking paths and trails that were beautiful. If you want a night of blissful silence, then you won’t want to miss this amazing place!
    • Wifi didnt work so well and matress was a bit soft
    • Hotel room was generally a little bit more old-fashioned than expected. Wifi worked poor.

This is such a beautiful location! We loved everything about our stay: the room was simple but very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we had a super pleasant evening outside on the terrace. We hope to come back soon!

    Everything was great!

    Location of course. Magic

Not for light sleepers. In Room 1 the door in the corridor was slamming at night. The neighbors on the upper floor seemed to change the furniture till midnight.

i recommend +++this hotel is amazing, in the middle of nowhere, it’s so restful (reason why the wifi is not so good). they have a little church inside and a beautiful garden. inside it’s modern but the charm of the house is preserved.

When we arrived, the man who checked us in was lovely and helpful. The meal we had was also really tasty, and the setting was beautiful.

I asked for beer and lemonade, the lady behind the bar gave me grenaden and beer, when my husband questioned it, they said, "That's lemonade and beer" and then the chef walked past saying something to the women in Dutch which seemed to be about us. We felt very uncomfortable for the rest of our stay and chose to eat and drink elsewhere.

Quiet location; comfortable beds; good breakfast

Not easy to find and literally in the middle of nowhere so you need a car. Forest surroundings undoubtedly charming in the summer but a little less attractive in winter.

    Sadly almost nothing.

The restaurant was shut for a dinner, it was slightly before 8pm. No restaurant nearby in walking distance. The stuff (brunette lady) wasn’t extremely polite and nice, it looked like her job bored her. Very steep stairs into the room, absolutely dangerous and NOT acceptable for dogs, especially for large breeds! The stuff didn’t care about health and possible injury of our dogs AT ALL! Very ignorant behaviour and communication. No wifi in our room. Very very poor breakfast.

The location was super charming, clean, lovely staff and really nice food. The breakfast in the morning was pretty standard for a hotel, so pretty good as well.

The only thing I was not jazzed about was the distance to the bus stop, which was not a big deal, but something to keep in mind for travellers without a vehicle. It is a 20 minute walk through a forest (personally I found it lovely, but most people wouldn't)

This is a beautiful hotel in a building that once used to be a monastery. The room was big, very clean and well equipped. It kept its warmth even without putting the heating on.The breakfast is reach and there's a nice restaurant you can spend time in (there's no lobby). The staff are nice, especially the ladies who take care of breakfast, they're lovely, lively and helpful. They've made our day.

Caution: the road to reach the place is unpaved and you need to be extremely careful when driving, avoiding holes. It can be tricky when muddy. For us, the bed was too hard to the point that we ended up with sore backs. The mattress is a futon type, we know it's popular/fancy but for us it wasn't comfortable at all.

    Staff. Room size. Nice beers.

Old building so you can hear people walking in corridor and floor above.

    Great breakfast!

The guy at the bar forgot that we ordered snacks for dinner so he heated the oil and then left not telling his replacement about our order.

Dinner as well as breakfast were excellent. The area is perfect for hiking.

If you bring a dog, you need to know there is no elevator and the stairs are open wood steps. Not all dogs will be comfortable walking up them. For me, the room was too hot even though the heating was off.

Absolutely loved everything about this property. Beautiful surroundings, perfect when you have dogs. Breathtaking building and gardens. Staff was lovely, competent and efficient (they were young lads and I was so impressed with their professionalism ).Rooms were cosy and super clean. Excellent food and drinks and very nice breakfast in the morning. Will come back for sure 10/10 would recommend

    Everything was perfect

I did enjoy the location- being located in the woods in an historic building (and the room rate) was the main reason for choosing this venue. However, it was not clear from the website that I read that the venue was located some distance from the main road, therefore not ideal for a traveller, like myself, who was not travelling by car. A local lady drove me there from the bus stop. Perhaps the venue could collect people travelling by public transport?Large showers, and a sufficient number for the use of guests

Given the former use of the building, the room was small. As there was no communal area to sit (other than the restaurant), one was forced to retire to their room- and there was no space in the room for beverage-making facilities.Only one toilet on my floor was in working order, so there was sometimes no toilet available. It was further from Tilburg than a website indicated- a lovely setting for a longer stay and if not a solo traveller.

The romantic setting and friendly staff! The breakfast in the garden in the morning was so nice. Definitely a go to as a couple! They had also an option for late check out and was definitely worth it!

    Nothing to complain about
