This 4-star hotel with spa is set within the historic Schnellenberg Castle. Its spacious rooms overlook the town of Attendorn and the forests of the Ebbegebirge Nature Park. The property features free WiFi. The Hotel und Restaurant Burg Schnellenberg offers elegant rooms with wooden furniture. Bathrobes and hairdryers are provided. International meals and traditional Sauerland dishes are served in the Rittersaal (Knights’ Hall). Guests can also enjoy a range of wines on the garden terrace overlooking the town. The Burg Schnellenberg’s leisure facilities include a Finnish sauna, spa showers and a fitness area. These are free of charge to guests. Massages and tennis courts are also available. Pros +
- Unique opportunity to stay in a historical castle. Despite the age of the building the rooms and facilities are clean and very well maintained with all the necessary equipment. The rooms are large. Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast complete an exceptional experience.
Cons -
- The only small complain is related to the bed in my room, that although "double" it had two separate mattresses. That meant that if you turned towards the middle of the bed in your sleep, you were often ending in the uncomfortable space between the two mattresses.
