Located within Ts’ehlanyane National Park in northern Lesotho, Maliba Mountain Lodge is set in pristine high altitude, boasting scenic mountain vistas. All rooms at Maliba Mountain Lodge feature a balcony with mountain view. Each has a TV, a fireplace and a private bathroom with a bath and shower. Towels and bathrobes are available in each unit. The main lodge features a gourmet restaurant and bistro, two bars with quiet discreet areas to admire the views of the surrounding mountains. Guests can explore the landscape on horseback, go hiking along the various mountain trails, enjoy a visit to the cultural village or do a dinosaur footprint tour. Maliba Lodge also offers a kids club. The forest spa offers a variety of treatments in a serene environment. Caledonspoort Border Post is only 1 hour away by car and Maseru is 99 mi away.

- The bungalow was spectacular. The viewing platform with an electric blanket and fire in the room was amazing. The lady on reception was particularly friendly and helpful. Lunch spot by the mountains was fabulous, and lots of activities were available.
- This location is awesome but it's better you plan a stay of several days to really enjoy the natural surroundings. The mountain views from the chalet is amazing. Breakfast was served at the main building which is a short walk from the chalet. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended with ground quite rocky and sometimes steep. As the last guest to check in for the day, the gates closed for the night as soon as I arrived and there are no other eateries nearby. But the kitchen staff made an amazing, unexpected gesture after checking out, apologizing for not being able to make any food upon my arrival. They presented me with a gift bag of food and snacks which was really thoughtful and caring of them. Quite impressive! I'll definitely visit this place again for a longer stay.
Cons -
- The shop was closed during our stay, and we would have liked to have seen breakfast included for the price.
- Dining options were non-existent once the restaurant closed at 9:30 pm. I arrived for check-in after 10:30 pm and the kitchen was no longer open. Arrive early or bring food if you will be checking in late.
