The Strandhotel is a small family hotel directly facing the beach. The cozy dining room with sea view is a wonderful way to start your day with a nice breakfast. Originally being a large villa, the hotel has preserved its attractive Victorian style entrance with fireplace. The antique sitting room is a charming place to read or relax after a long walk or a cycle trip. The Strandhotel offers comfortable and quiet rooms, some with a beautiful sea view. All of the rooms have their own private bathroom. The ideal location of this hotel makes it possible to walk to all famous sights in Scheveningen the Circus Theater is 984 feet away. Pros +
- It was certainly not modern! We had to walk up 53 steps to get to our room. If either of us were handicapped it would have been impossible. The view and staff were fabulous
- We visited in April 2018 and only stayed one night. The staff spoke English to us, and were extremely helpful. When I mentioned we had to leave early before the breakfast buffet, they prepared food for us to take and eat on the train. Wonderful service.

- They're currently doing construction right in front of the hotel. The city is updating the promenade, so it will have a wonderful beach view again. That was the only disappointment, but nothing the hotel can do. I didn't hold it against them.
